Dear Diary, Today is the first day

of classes in a nearby schoo1l where my family lives. I wish I’m also one of those kids carrying bags with books, reading stories with pleasure and writing freely in any stroke.

But no,

I am born to a poor family.

I have to work at an early age for food.

I have to work hard so that someday I’ll build our own house.

Where it is pleasant, no mosquitoes, no flies, no cockroaches.

I have always been with them all my life. At work,

and even at home. Now, I don’t know

what to say. I’m hungry.
