Currently in third and final year in The One Academy majoring in Digital Animation.

Intrested in telling stories in pictures.

She also would like to become a cover illustrator for books and other merchandise.

keeping a lantern burning in the dark

Ignite for those who can seek for the strength to forgive the past, and look for tomorrow.

The beauty of a peaceful Malaysia in all its fragile wonder.

Lamp (Lantern)is light up during the night

#4.The Concept Of The Art Work

1. Conflict

the light from the lantern is in conflict with the darkness.

2. Closure

we tend to assume that the girl is living a happy life, due to her peaceful smile.(forgive and forget)

3. Selective attention

the focal point is not on the girl but on the brightly burning lantern.

4. Self-disclosure

understand more about yourself, forgiving others is the first step to forgiving yourself.

5. Substituting

The word ‘peace’ is replaced by the lantern to help illustrate the message.

For the longest time, Indian barbers have been styling the hair of Malaysian men and boys. They are a part and percel of Malaysian culture.

Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla is a mural combined with installation art, depicting the ambience inside a barber shop which has likely remained the same for the last 30 years.

1. Stereotyping

All barber shops are own by Indians

2. Selective retention

Typical features like barber pole and square mirror tells us it’s a barber shop

3. Non-verbal message

Indian barbers have become a part of Malaysian culture

4. Selective perception

The ambience of a classic barber shop always stay the same.

5. Similarity

All barber shops have the same characteristic and traits.

At George Town, Penang

#1.Artist Background

Ernest Zacharevic is a young Lithuania-born artist who is ‘making a scene’ on the streets of George Town, Penang. The project, known as mirrors George Town, is part of George Town Festival 2012

Ernest Zacharevic’s wall paintings in George Town include figure drawings and portraitures drawing that celebrate the exuberance of life in the inner city.

This photo features the life of a trishaw pedaler spending his free time resting on his own trishaw.

Back in the days, trishaws were used to transport people with higher status and rich.

Nowadays trishaw has become a mode of transportation for tourists to venture around Penang island.

A large scale of the information imparting to a wide range of people.

2. Cross cultural relationship

It shows the relationship with the lower and upper class of society

3. Figure and Ground

There is no info about his moods or his business situation. It’s all up to your interpretation.

From his posture, he looks like he is waiting for costumers

IT shows the commitment to their job that has already become a part of their life.

It was drew by Ernest Zacharevic on 30 May of 2014 and it can be found along the Armenian Street which on the wall of the I-Box Museum of Glass, Also face the Soo Hong Lane and another street rod Sculpture.

“Wo AI Nee Malay Indian”,

meaning I love you Malay

Indian.

This mural depict three ladies with religion traditional elaborate costume in Malaysia which are Chinese, Indian and Malay.

Those costumes are the primary races in Malaysia.

It shows the concept of creating a space of relationship between three major cultures in Malaysia which convey the 1 Malaysia concept.

It shows the concept of perception in their friendly smile, good emotional of three ladies by viewer perceptive.

Intercultural Communications by Contrasting the different religion and costumes.

Three girls are smiling, which indicates they are at peace, and not discriminating each other.
