Introduction• The format of this moving image is that it is a series. There are many

different seasons and episode for it. This is because it’s a long story which needs to be developed and explained.• The purpose of it is to show that you should never give up on your dream of

becoming what you want to be due to your gender, skin or any other valid reason as to why it is restricting us from achieving what we need to achieve.• The platforms it can be found on are either BBC iPlayer, Netflix and YouTube.

And can be played on different devices such as the TV, computer/laptop as well as a smartphone.• The target audience are teenagers and above as there is strong language

and sexual scene which are not suitible for children and young adults.

Genre Codes• The genre the our girls follows could be adventure as it shows us her

journey on how she becomes a successful woman working in the army. • The codes which are followed is that every time an episode has finished,

it shows us an intriguing end to it which would make the viewer/user want to see more of it.• The conventions which are followed is that when there is a serious

scene in ‘Our Girl.’ The clips decide to move quicker and more drastically to empathises a point that it is building tension.

Representation• There are different sets of people in this type of TV Drama. There's always a

good person and a bad person. The good person will always fight and take what he wants but the bad person would have to be eliminated or killed in order to happen.• The place which is mainly followed is either inside a house or inside the

armies base where they work.• The events are different in each scene for example. The woman is going

through a lot of conflict or the woman maybe fighting for her life.• There are different values toward different characters. For example, as the

girl is the main character, she is shown the highest value towards the rest of the characters inside the TV Drama.

Narrative structure, style or theme• The narrative to this is that it shows us how the girl had been treated

because of her gender and to show her journey of how she became an army force member.• The people she was working with were all guys and they seemed to

believe that because she was a woman, she was not able to do the job.• Everyday she would try to push herself just to achieve her dream. But

sometimes she is a frightened and scared type of character and therefore might not complete some of the jobs given to her or perhaps she would like to leave the army. These types of things allow the viewer to watch more of the series.
