Theme or focus of images These Photographs are all fashion shots. They are by the photographer Tim Walker, and he focus’ especially in these photos, on fantasy and quirky fairy tale looks on the shots. He creates beautiful backgrounds with the colours and props he brings in to make the shot more interesting and playful. His work has moved further and further from the look and feel of mainstream fashion photography and takes on a story telling aim to the shots. These photographs focus on the model in interesting surroundings, all very feminine and quirky. His after effects on the photos increase their fantasy feel.CompositionThe photographer captures allot in his images, with the background and setting also being a main focus as well as the model. This makes it extremely interesting for the audience to look at and creates a happy creative feeling when viewing the images, he takes the photos mostly from long distance allowing him to capture interesting shots around the main focus and create a view of him being an onlooker and simply watching then photographing the beautiful scenes in front of him.Techniques usedI think he enhances each of the images colours in post production, but captures the photos with what seems a low shutter speed creating light and bright images. Strengths & Weaknesses I think the strengths of these images are the interesting fantasy background and set up of the photographs which makes in very fun and pretty for the audience to view, and the work with effects in post production enhance and make the image seem even more magical and intriguing.

A weakness is, although it’s what makes the images interesting, there could be too much going on in the actual image for us to concentrate and look at the actual main focus and become distracted by other things in the image, so it takes away from the actual point of the images.
