The Low Angle Shot
The low angle shot is used to make the subject look powerful and dominant. This is down by having the camera angle look up at the artist
I like this shot because it makes the artist look dominating and powerful
However as the image of my star is not one of power and dominance I don’t think I will be using this type of shot as it goes against the artist’s image
The Medium Shot
What I like about this photo is the fact that it is not a full on face photo but one from the side which gives a hint of mystery to the artist
Moreover the fact that the artist is looking away it brings loads of connotations to mind and will really draw the audience into analysing the image of the artist
Long Shot(PHOTOSHOP OUT
THE BACKGROUND) Even though I am not
illustrating the background which is typically what the long shot is used for I liked the idea of showing the whole of the artists body
I like this photograph as it not only looks good but also has an air of professionalism around it
The Close Up (PHOTOSHOP OUT
THE BACKGROUND) I used the close-up shot
because I liked the idea of the artists emotions and expressions being illustrated
Moreover from my research into the R&B genre I found that close up shots of the artist are very common and I wanted to see what my artist would like following this convention
I decided to do an extreme
close-up shot as I like the idea of intensifying the emotions on the artists face. I feel that this shot will help the audience to make a connection with the artist
I think this shot looks better than the close-up one and I like it more
