Project 1- Storyboard

First project, was a scene from a movie of our choice. I chose the patronus scene from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Afterwards, I realized I did not draw enough frames and using blue sticky notes probably is not the best idea. My actual storyboarding is very sloppy.

I do, however like my drawings for this storyboard.

Project 2- Animatic

Later, we turned that rough storyboard into an animatic using Adobe Premier. I just used the audio from the movie itself and watched the movie to know there the cuts and transitions were.

I’ve had difficulty in the past using Premier so my skills using this program were very limited. Also, the size of my drawings on the sticky notes weren’t the correct size for the video requirements so they’re pretty warped.

Project 2- Storyboard Next, we had to pick a film-noir and remake it in order for it to be current and make a storyboard for the trailer. I chose Touch of Evil and I think some of my drawings are kind of lacking.

Project 2- Animatic

I made my film noir storyboard into an animatic. There were some problems when it came to exporting so the quality is terrible. My timing and editing could be better.

Project 3- Storyboard

Next was a teaser trailer for a movie that I came up with. I’m very happy with the way the drawings came out. I still need to work on camera angles and moves and overall storyboarding terminology.

Project 3- Animatic

Again, I’m pretty happy with the way the animatic turned out. I added more frames for animation and changed some of the order. I was going for a more ridiculous humor for the overall mood of the film.
