The 2014 edition of the Chicago Auto Show offered visitors an opportunity to both see and, in some cases, drive the latest in new electric vehicles. Kia opened this

auto show with a jolt of eco-related auto news, courtesy of the electric-powered Soul EV. The Soul EV has a lithium-ion polymer battery pack, coupled to an electric motor producing the equivalent of 109-horsepower. That should get you around town in a

flash.

The 2014 Volkswagen E-Golf electric car was a standout star at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Volkswagen showed off full details of its all-new Golf GTE, a plug-in

hybrid model. The German automaker chose the GTE moniker as a way of tying the model into its GTI and GTD gasoline and diesel sports hatchbacks. As the 'E'
