Winterizing Mowing Equip

1. Empty fuel tank 1. run mower until engine stops from lack of fuel 2. prime engine and start again 3. when engine will no longer start, it is sufficiently dry

2. Change the oil 3. Remove spark plug 4. Add a small amount of engine oil (a tablespoon)

to the crankcase through the spark plug hole

Continued5. Turn the engine over with the pull-cord a

couple of times to distribute the oil 6. Install spark plug but don't connect wire 7. Clean engine housing8. Clean blade area 9. Check blade condition - sharpen or replace if

necessary10. Riding mowers/electric start – disconnect

battery11. Check belts
