CCTV Camera – Big Brother Is Watching You
Have you ever felt like you are being watched? Yes!!! in shops, railway
stations, bus stops even some time when you knock any door you have
the same feeling. The increasing threat of crime opens the market for
CCTV cameras, now you can find CCTV cameras everywhere. Initially,
these cameras are installed in the public places but in due to the unsafe
environment now these are frequently used in residential areas too.
Safety of residential and work area have equal importance and now
most of the people start believing this and installed CCTV cameras in
the premises. After the installation of these surveillance equipment the
big question arises – Has the crime rate down really? If we go through
the studies the results shows that the feeling of being watched is
increased in the public, but when we talk about the crime rate than
that not decrease in that ration in which the cameras are installed.
Cameras are installed at proper places and of best quality and if the
results not come according to acceptations then it disappoints. When
we go in the roots of this problem, then the results are of surprising
nature. There is no fault of CCTV cameras, but the mistake of the
human.
When we install CCTV cameras at any place, then the first requirement
is to appoint a person for regular checks on that. Because if nobody has
an eye on the camera screens, then these surveillance equipment of no
use in crime prevention. If a camera is recording every happening, but
nobody is there to supervise them how we imagine that the crime will
not happen.
Supervision of cameras is more important than the installation. A CCTV
camera gives best results when it used actively otherwise it will use
only for footage after the happening of crime. It's logical that a device
which is designed for the recording how it stops the crime rate until
and unless there is nobody to watch those recordings. So for the best
results, be an active user of CCTV cameras not a passive user.
