Analysis
• Drakes second studio album was titled ‘ take care’. This front cover portrays conventional features of a rapper with the use of props and the mis-en-scene. The use of gold suggests wealth and status which coveys the view of the stereotypical rapper who is showing their wealth through various items such as the gold watch and chains. The use of the gold theme through out the cover shows drake’s superiority as he is very wealthy. The camera shot of drake is a medium shot as we see the top half of his body. Drake does not pose straight into the camera and is looking down to the table which may suggest that he may actually be shy which can be portrayed as many of the songs off the album are mellow and to do with love. The album cover gives off the image of heritage, as it does not look very modern, with old style artwork and candles. This subverts the stereotypical of a rapper as they normally pose in front of a ‘ghetto’ area or behind flashy buildings and expensive, so the album cover shows drake to be subverting the stereotypical ideology of a rapper. Even the album name on the cover continues this theme with the font. The font is typed with a laid back approach to it, almost looking mellow along with the rest of the album as it looks like it was calmly painted on. One thing which is unconventional is that there is no artist name on the cover, this maybe because there would be no need for the artist name to be there as drake is popular and famous enough that there is no need for an artist name.

Analysis
• The back cover continues to follow the same colour theme and typography of the front cover with the same colour tones of the gold. The back cover is just like the front cover, with the same simple theme incorporated. The track listing is presented in logical order in gold on a black/grey background which also follows the theme of being very simple. The institutional information at the bottom of the cover shows the labels that drake is signed to, this helps sell and promote the Cd as young money are big label they a have a huge target market meaning it will be easier to sell and attract audiences.
