2.2 Car Floor.

A- Car floor shall have sufficient mechanical strength to sustain forces which will be

applied during normal operation, safety gear operation and impact of the car to its

buffers.

B- - Floor size is the same size of the car (width & depth).

- Floor extension defines door opening, location and side portal depth.

C- Car floor can be fixed to the lower transom of the car sling through a couple of

fixing holes on each side.

D- Recess varies a ccording to the type of floor covering, such as:-

- In case of PVC covering, Recess is 2mm.

- In case of marble stone, Recess is 20mm.

- In case of granite, Recess is 30mm.

2.3 Car Ceiling.

- Car ceiling is designed to be able to support two persons during maintenance

operation without permenent deformation.

- Car ceiling is prepared also to mount emergency trap door, blower fan and

balustrade.

It is supported by car sling side frames using a couple of upper isolation sets,

each is fixed by a sliding plate mounted in the ceiling side channel.

- Car door operator can be fixed to the front channel through suitable brackets

fixed to sliding plates mounted inside.

2.4 Car Walls. Folded steel panels are used to enclose elevator car with different types, sizes and

finishing.

* We have three main type of car panels as shown in the figure:-

- Side panels, which are the most common used panels, they can be used in side

walls and in the intermediate back wall.

- Back panels, which are used only in right hand and left hand back corners.

- COP panel, which is used to mount COP unit.

* Car walls can be lined with stainless steel with defferent finishing styles or painted

in selected color upon client requirements.

Keys that must be put in the Car Operating Panel (COP) is :-

1. Door-close-button

The door-close-button can be used to close the door immediately after a car call is given,

which reduces the waiting time.

2. Door-open-button

The door-open-button can be used to open the door or to hold the door open.

On operating the door-open-button the closing movement will be stopped and the door will be

re-opened. After some seconds the door will close.

3. Alarm button

On operating the alarm button the alarm device will be activated and a voice communication with the

emergency service established.

The alarm button serves as emergency light which remains active by means of standby-power even

in the case of power failure.

4. Fan button

The fan button switches the fan in the car on / off.

5. Overload indicator

The overload indicator gives an optical and / or acoustic signal to indicate that the car is

overloaded. If the car is overloaded, it will remain at the floor with doors open.

The signal stops automatically as soon as overload is removed. Then normal operation can be

continued.

6. Car position indicator / direction indicator

The car position indicator permits the floor to be read on which the car is located at the moment or

displays special information, e.g. inspection operation.

7. Fireman button.

Used in the event of a fire in the elevator.

8. Floors button.

Used to choose the floor that you want to get him.

9. Instruction plate.

Be Stick on the COP to show how to handle passengers in the car lift in case of emergency.

2.7 Hand RailElevator car in most cases is prvided by a handrail at one side, two side or on all sides of the cabin.

There are some rules must be considered in case of using the elevator for passengers including persons with disabilities such as:

- At least on one side wall of the car, a hand rail shall be installed.- The gripping part of the hand rail shall have cross-sectional dimension between 30 and 45 mm with a minimum radius of 10 mm.- The free space between wall and the gripping part shall be minimum 35 mm.- The height of the top edge of the gripping part shall be within (900±25) mm from the car floor.

Many types of supports are used to fix hand rail to the car walls, the most common used supports are shown in the figure.

2.8 False CeilingFalse Ceiling is the main source of lighting in the elevator car, we have many designs with differentappearance.Fluorescent lighting and spot lights are the most common lighting elements used in our designs, some false ceiling use one of them and others use a combination of both such as the shown type.Modern Blend false ceiling is one of the most desired designs with its various patterns and finishing styles (painted or st. steel finishing); It consists of a fixed frame (1) that is decorated by two side rows of equally arranged spot lights (2). This frame is fixed to the car ceiling by four corner angles (5) using two bolted connections M6 in each one.Two or more split pattern pieces (3) are set on the fixed frame inner edges and separation jamb (4). these pieces can be easily removed and assembled from inside the car for maintenance of fluorescent lighting and from outside of it in case of using the trap door opening.

2.9 Emergency Trap Door Assembly

Emergency trap door can be easily opened from inside the car by using triangular key (1) and from outside the car without a key by turing the link (2) to pull locking arms (3).Electrical safety switch (4) that is fixed to the side frame of trap door causes the lift to stop if the locking ceases to be effective; Restoring the lift to service shall only be possible after deliberate relocking.Emergeny trap door size is 600X400 mm to permit the rescue and evacuation of passengers.
