Introduction To Project

This task had been given to us by our ENBE lecturers as part of our coursework studies. In this task, we have to study and analyze the landscape, space, infrastructure and building of three sites. Our lecturer had chosen the three different areas for us to cover our site visit. The three places given to us are Janda Baik as the rural area, Wangsa Maju as the suburban area, and Bukit Bintang as the urban area. Within the three chosen places, we had to chose a site as our site to study and analyze.

The main objective of this coursework is to determine, study and analyze the landscape, space, infrastructure and the structure of the three chosen sites.

Infrastructure - Infrastructure is

basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society or enterprise , or the services and facilities necessary for an economy to function. 

- It can be generally defined as the set of interconnected structural elements that provide framework supporting an entire structure of development.

To make the best use of the space available by shaping the land to reflect the nature qualities of the site

Rural: Janda Baik

Janda Baik is the place where is located in the state of Pahang in Malaysia (03 31N Longitude 101 55E)

Janda Baik is not only the place for relax, there also have the training camp which can provide a quite retreat from the life of bustling city.

In this picture, the landscape I can say is better and greener than Suburban. The land was flat, the tree and the flower are in every direction. They using some large pot to do the decoration

Suburban: Wangsa Maju

A Suburban area is a residential area or a mixed use area, it is a area existing as part of city and part of rural.

Wangsa maju is also one of the suburban area, it was previously occupied by Setapak rubber estates

It is lower population compared to the Urban Area

The landscape is mix with the traditional grid type and Cul-De-Sac type landscape

This is a corridor in there, it got the roof so it can help

people prevent the sunstroke and avoid the

rain.

In suburban area, you can find many type of house in there, there got shop-houses, Terrace-houses, Semi-D-houses, Bungalow-houses. This one is the flats that we see in

This type of houses is call Shop-Houses. Usually they use it to do some business in the first floor and they

live in second floor or third floor.

This is the landscape that we found, it is quite difficult to find the landscape it there.

Urban: Bukit Bintang

An urban area is characterized by higher population density

Urban areas are created and further developed by the process of urbanization

near full develop.
