First step: Get organized 1. What’s the goal of the meeting?
What do you want to accomplish with this meeting?
What do you want the clients to do at the end of the meeting?
2. Who should attend the meeting? What’s their role? What do you want them to do? How will they add value?
3. Where will meeting happen? In person Online Conference call
Second step: Get ready• Prepare Yourself
• Send out invites with materials if needed • Rehearse how you will run meeting • Practice on stage (Online or in person)
• Prepare Presenters • Talk to presenters ahead of time • Review their role and how the meeting will run
• Prepare for Clients • Run thru the meeting with someone on your team • Anticipate questions
Third step: own it• Start boldly
• Once meeting starts jump in • No small talk
• Tell them: • What’s going to happen• Who is going to make it happen • What they need to do
• Tell THEM what’s going to happen• Today we will be discussing: (Your Topic) ________________• Joining us today will be Tom Abrams, Mark Anthony, and Russell Peters • Our goal is to have a conversation about this project and ensure we are all on the same page
