10 Venues and the IBC Johannesburg = 100% Availability

Technical Design, Installation, Implementation and Operation

From May 15th until July 18th on site project team of approx. 70 persons

Transmitted 27.000 hours of HD feeds between the venues and the IBC.

IP based Video Adaptation Equipment with Hitless Proctection.

Telkom SA provided IP based Automatical Switched Network (ASTN).

More then 5 Gbps Temporary Fibre Capacity connecting the IBC withcustomers from Europe, Asia, North and South America.

622 Mbps Termporary National Fibre Capacity connecting various placeswithin South Africa and the IBC Johannesburg.

Telkom SA provided all National Fibre and all International Sea Cable capacity.

The Video Adaptation of this International Distribution Network was fullymanaged from the MB Operational Team on site.

6 x HD SNG operated during the World Cup in South Africa

Shipped from Bremerhaven (Germany) to Durban and back.

SNG Production team consists of 14 people.

4 HD SNG where traveling approx. 25.500 km across the country.

1 HD SNG was permantely based at the IBC Johannesburg.

1 HD SNG was permantely based at the German Team Hotel in Pretoria.

Operating on SES Astra 4A @ 23.5°E (Ku Africa/Ka Europe).
