Information LiteracyYour golden key to finding reliable and valid research resources using print and/or electronic materials
What exactly is Information Literacy?
• An Information Literate person has the ability to know when they need information, as well as the skills to find, retrieve, analyze and use that information in an ethical manner.
Why is Information Literacy so important?
• As U.S. Representative Major R. Owens has said: "Information literacy is needed to guarantee the survival of democratic institutions. All men are created equal but voters with information resources are in a position to make more intelligent decisions than citizens who are information illiterates."
