Centre of Expertise Programme in Finland
• The purpose of the Finnish Government’s Centre of Expertise Programme is to utilise top level knowledge and expertise as a resource for business operations, job creation and regional development (www.oske.net)
• The programme is founded on the utilization of regional expertise which is of an internationally high standard.
• The national programme is implemented by 13 nationally significant expertise clusters and 21 centres of expertise in different regions.
• The Purpose of the intelligent Machines cluster programme is to transform Finland into a leading country with international networks of intelligent work machines by 2013 (www.intelligentmachines.fi)

VISION 2015
• There are the network of the clusters in Baltic sea area in Technology industry for machine building.
• Network has initiated common goals to develop branch taking in account the strenghts of the area and diversity requirements.
• Network is matching the companies around the Baltic sea by arranging the match making seminars etc.
• Network is starting development programs, which are financed both from industry and public funds.
The role of the project is to focus the network and cluster activities to enable this vision
VISION 2020
• Network is an essential information channel for the industry
• Network is offering it’s competence and experience to be utilised when EU is developing the new financing instruments for Innovation , research and development, and when these instruments are seeking the programs to be funded
• Network is having the programs that are developing the machine building branch
• Network is co-ordinating joint projects established with the companies and other actors for Innovation, research and development.
