Blended Approach
Our approach to Enterprise Architecture service delivery is based on a generic blend of industry best practise frameworks and methods. This approach is complementary to, not competing with, other frameworks and methods.

Framework
Our approach “demystifies’ Enterprise Architecture development and provides an adaptable framework and method.. We provide a repository of best practice, and are vendor, tool and technology neutral, offering a proven and practical way to make Enterprise Architecture work.
Architecture Development Method
The Architecture Development Method (ADM) provides a method for developing an Enterprise Architectures. Our ADM is a flexible, iterative process that can be tailored for: Establishing an architecture framework; Developing architecture content; Transitioning the enterprise; and Governing the realisation of architectures.
Adaptable ADM
Many organisational factors may influence the extent to which we adapt the ADM to our client specific needs and concerns. We achieve this by: Omitting certain phases; Adding or amending procedures; and, Customisation for compatibility to existing
procedures and methods.
Iterative Development Cycles
For each iteration of the ADM cycle the following are defined through the Architecture Vision: The breadth of coverage of the enterprise; The level of detail; The extent of the time period; and Architectural assets to be leveraged.
Architecting Techniques
We use many techniques during ADM cycles, such as: Architecture Principles; Stakeholder Management; Architecture Patterns; Business Scenarios; Gap/Options Analysis; Migration Planning; Interoperability Requirements; Business Transformation Readiness Assessment; Risk Management; and Capability-Based Planning.
Architecture Repository
The architecture repository provides a logical information store for outputs of executing ADM cycles: Architecture Meta-model – describes the
organisation specific architecture framework in use within the organisation;
Architecture Landscape – describes the state of the operating Enterprise at particular points in time;
Reference Library – contains re-usable architecture work products;
Standards Information Base – defines the compliance criteria for work governed by architecture;
Governance Log – captures results of governance activities, such as compliance assessments; and
Architecture Capability – describes the organisation, roles, skills and responsibilities of the Enterprise Architecture practice.
“Enterprise Architecture provides a strategic planning framework that relates and
aligns IT with the Business functions that it support…”
