• A MapInfo table does not provide control over the
display order of map objects.
• A query made from a MapInfo table is drawn in the
order that the data appears in the query.

The above can be done through the user interface.
Use the Table > Maintenance > Table Structure command to get rid of
and restore the index.
This can also
be done through

Drop the index.

can only be turned on
through MapBasic.
If the FastEdit option is turned on there is NO ability to revert the changes to
the table. So be very careful using this!!!!!

columns, use the Save As Default Browser View option.

• Columns are hidden, not removed.
• To remove or modify permanently
use Table Maintenance->Table Structure

time you open
a base table,
retain the
preferred
thematic view
as the default
view for that table. Simply choose to “Associate Theme
with Table” from the Modify Thematic Map dialog

• Automatically run a tool every time MapInfo Professional is started
• Avoid using Autoload for too many tools!
• Remove tools you do not need
