Sample size – 200 samples

Quota sampling technique is adopted.

Occupation is categorized into various sectorsOf which 10 samples are collected of each-Student,homemakers,businessmen,private job,Government job, others.

39 percent respondents are in the income group of less than rupees ten thousand and 57 percent are in between rupees ten thousand to twenty thousand.

With the products and services offered by the parlors , 46 percent respondents are satisfied ,32 percent respondents are highly satisfied and rest 22 percent are not.

Colour cosmetics usage is everyday by 16 percent respondents and the rest in the order are 66 percent once in a week, 10 percent rarely , 7 percent occasionally and one percent once in 15 days.

Eye shadow is used everyday by 38 percent and 32 percent use occasionally and the rest were negligible.

Usage of blusher is once in a week by 30 percent, occasionally by 29 percent and 25 percent rarely and 8 percent each use everyday or once in 15 days.

Eyeliner is used by 52 percent on a regular basis whereas 40 percent respondents use once in a week.

Lipstick usage is regular by 83 percent where as 6 percent use it occasionally and the rest don’t use at all.

Fragnances are exceptional where 98 percent respondents use everyday.

In case of male respondents 85 percent use shaving cream for personal hygiene and 8 percent respondents once in a week .

The great benefit of the cosmetic product and services is enhancing the self confidence in any person.

As the youth population is very high,growing literacy rate ,bi gender employment and increase in disposable income are some of the catalysts which are driving the population to take care about the personal hygiene and cosmetic product services by visiting relevant parlours,avail various services and get satisfied.

It has been found that with the products and services offered by the parlors , 46 percent respondents are satisfied ,32 percent respondents are highly satisfied.

Almost most people prefer to visit parlors for cosmetics.
