“While it took radio and television 38 years and 13
years, respectively, to reach 50 million users, it took Facebook less than nine
months to reach 100 million users. iPhone applications even hit 1 billion in nine

A New ‘Blended Model’:Learning in Three Dimensions
The inside of an object is three dimensional because three coordinates are needed to
locate a point in space. (“Space is a collection of all points.”
Euclid 300 B.C.)
A line has a dimension of one because only one coordinate is
needed to specify a point on it. (“A line is a dot that went for a walk.”
Paul Klee, Swiss Artist 1879-1940) ????

• Blended learning and product training can work together for:– JIT training– Product tips– Sales scenarios/simulations– OJT– Reference sheets
Case Study
• Waste Management– 18,000+ employees nationwide– 3,000+ are in sales– Currently use web-based training– Sales team challenged to complete all training
because they work in the field– Need to reach remote sales team
