• Accountants + Clients working on the same goals
• Getting rid of the annoying, time-consuming, and frustrating back and forth between firms and their clients
• Data is always up-to-date, so accountants AND clients can access what they need, when they need it, to make informed business decisions
How small businesses are using the cloud today
• Online Accounting (of course!)
• Business website
• Cloud-based email (gmail, etc)
• Google Docs instead of MS Office (it’s free!)
• Online banking (online, and mobile apps)
• Credit card processing (sometimes)
• Lots of non-work stuff too

• Knowing their numbers are right! What goes where?
• Less paperwork! No more lost receipts
• Knowing how to use the numbers to make good decisions
Security Benefits of Cloud Collaboration
• The file doesn’t “live” with a single employee who can leave, lose it, etc.
• Multiple backups in the cloud to ensure your data is secure (make smart partner choices – do your research)
• Many cloud providers (like Kashoo) have built-in security provisions – even an un-locked laptop can’t access your info without a secure log-in and password

Now that we’ve seen the benefits of cloud collaboration, how do we get started?
3 Things to Do Today:
1.Proposals: Start with something as simple as Google Drive (free and easy to get started)
2.Client Info: Check with your accounting/tax program to see if there’s a way for your clients to enter some of their basic info in the cloud, making both of your lives easier!
3.Files & Sharing: If your current system doesn’t work in the cloud, use Box.net, Google Drive, or Dropbox to share files with your client safely & securely
