Currently,  there  are  over  31,000  registered  Ureporters  in  Uganda,  from  every  District  in  the  country!

Weekly  SMS  polls  (including  maternal  and  child  health,  domes-c  violence  and  access  to  safe  water).  –  Avg  response  rate:  25%  

Best  responses  and  results  are  sent  back  by  SMS    to  the  Ureporter  community.

Not  just  about  data…  but  rather  to  increase  Ureporters  knowledge  of  their  rights,  provoke  awareness  of  the  situa-on  in  their  community,  and  promote  dialogue  and  ac-ons  to  find  solu-ons  to  local  problems.

UNICEF  is  using  this  informa-on  as  part  of  na-onal  level  advocacy  work,  sending  alerts  to  government  and  civil  society  stakeholders  responsible  for  follow-­‐up,  and  making  it  available  to  the  general  public.
