What is Story Telling? Every business is telling a story. Apple is telling a story about beinginnovative, stylish, and intuitive to use. Their story is wildly effective.

It is the background for every product they release. And they invite you, as one of their customers, tobecome a part of that story. You are creative, stylish, and belong to a select group.

Every major brand has a story behind it. Starbucks is an upscale coffee house experience where youcan come in, grab a table, and hang out. The story behind a Ram Truck is about getting the heavyduty job done. You’re tough and you’re dependable…just like your truck.

Compare this to another vehicle such as a Toyota Prius. Now you’re telling a completely differentstory. You care about the environment and efficiency. Watch commercials for any vehicle. Listen to thelanguage they use to describe their product. Look at the images they show.

If you’re in their target market, then it may be a story youcan see yourself agreeing with.Ralph Lauren shares about their story on their website,“Ralph Lauren has always stood for providing qualityproducts, creating worlds and inviting people to take partin our dream. We were the innovators of lifestyleadvertisements that tell a story and the first to createstores that encourage customers to participate in thatlifestyle.”

Your business is telling a story…whether you know it ornot. Often the story can influence our buying decisionsalmost subconsciously…especially if it’s a story wepersonally resonate with.

What story is your business telling?

One of the stories you can tell is your “Reason forExistence.” Why does your business exist? Whywas it created?

With all the other ways a customer could solvetheir problems, why did you add ANOTHERproduct or service to an already crowdedmarketplace?

Just because you had a grand idea to make a lotof money for yourself is NOT a good enoughreason. They want to know what’s in it for them.

For example, in the internet marketing industry allthe conflicting advice is overwhelming. There areso many options and paths you can choose. It’sreally hard to navigate on your own without amentor or coach.

In reality story telling should be a big part of yourinternet marketing business. Here’s why; simplyput people love to buy they do not like to be sold.

So take a look at your selling strategy or techniques are you slamming your prospects, new leads orcustomers to just buy, buy, buy. If so this is probably why your not making any money of big sales.

You see 90% of people are going to buy from someone they have connected with, usually not untilaround the 7th plus engagement.

You will be amazed at the results and how fast your bank account will exposed with story telling. It wasnot until about two years back when i stopped selling and starting telling and connecting with myprospects that I solved my money worries.

Can the average person, without any serious internet marketing skills or training, actually get sign upsand start making a significant income by using story telling in their marketing.
