  • Chapter One
  • Once upon a time...
  • There was a nice young man named Tom
  • He lived
  • In Dublin In Dublin City
  • In this wonderful house.
  • With his lovely: &
  • Tom was what some might call a... Hot Shot

  • He was the CFO of a big company
  • He drove a fantastic car
  • Occasionally drank expensive wines
  • And he wore very fancy shoes
  • However...
  • All was not well
  • Tom often had to work very late through the night.
  • He longed dearly to see more of his: &
  • But Tom just didnt have the time
  • Sometimes Tom felt that his job was like...
  • A Prison
  • But he could never leave his job...
  • He was sure he needed the money, the cars, the shoes and the fancy wines

  • And what was more... The world sounded like a scary place...

  • The Papers told him...

  • And the TV told him...

  • Tom surely couldnt leave his job, even if he wanted to...
  • Chapter Two Trying to predict the future is like trying to drive down a country road at night with no lights while looking out the back window - Peter Drucker
  • Then quite suddenly, and much to Toms shock & horror, his company went...
  • And just like that, Tom was out of a job.
  • Things did not look good for Tom. Whats next...
  • At first he was very, very sad indeed...
  • But as time went on he noticed...
  • He had more time with his &
  • And he rarely felt like
  • THIS in the mornings!
  • But he still needed...
  • To make a living somehow.
  • But HOW?
  • The Papers still told him...
  • The Radio still told him... Bailouts
  • And the TV still told him...

  • Tom was determined to ignore all of these negative voices
  • He started to think about how he could
  • Create his own job!
  • He pondered about the things he loved
  • He loved PEOPLE...
  • His City
  • And he loved to walk!
  • Tom had an... Idea.
  • The next morning he jumped out of bed
  • At the crack of dawn, to put his plan into action
  • Just one week later he was up and running!
  • Or, up and WALKING

  • After a couple of tough months things were in full flow
  • Tom gave many visitors a great walking tour of his great city.
  • And he was the C.F.O again but this time it means:

  • Chief Family officer
  • And from then on
  • even without his old Fancy shoes
  • Tom and his family lived happily ever after.
