~Only order 1 time every 2 weeks~If you order out of cycle or more than 1x every

2 weeks you waste your profits on late fees

Taking Credit/Debit Payments from your customers opens your business up more flexibility and

less hassle with checks.

How to Process a Credit/Debit card for an Avon Customer Payment

Use a Credit Card Form obtained by Avon. These are free and can be ordered under Business Supplies.

Place the Credit/Debit Card behind the back copy of the form and use a pen to “imprint” the card info onto the form.

Hand print the same information onto the form. Double Check your work.Have the customer sign the form. Without a signature, YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED and if the charge is returned by the bank, Avon will charge the products back to you. DO NOT take Credit/Debit Cards over the telephone.

Call the 800 number listed on the inside front copy of the form to get your approval code for the transaction.

Take the white copy that has already been approved and signed. Tape it to a sheet of paper, which will hold 3 credit card slips. Write your Name, District # & Account # on the paper.

How to Process a Credit/Debit card for an Avon Customer Payment (con’t)

It should be applied to your account within 24-48 hours.

If the credit is not applied in a timely manner, you can call 1-800-253-0299 to follow up. You will be required to leave a message - Leave the date the form was faxed, your Name, District # & Account #.

DO NOT mail the slip if you use this process. If you mail the original your customer will be DOUBLE CHARGED. The fax is considered your original.

This process only applies to Avon Customer Credit/Debit cards. If you are paying your own account, you will need to pay using the Pay Avon link under your account info at youravon.com OR call customer service to pay via phone.

DO NOT open yourself to fraud – ALWAYS get a signature from your customer!

How to Process a Return to Avon

Log onto YourAvon.comClick on My AccountClick on Process ReturnsA New Window will Open Click on Credit & Replacements on the left sideIt's best to use the actual number from your invoice, rather than the description, since the description has to be exact for it to find it Click either the Credit or Replace boxFill in QtySelect a Reason from the drop down Note about Reasons:  If it is opened and non-sellable they won't want it back, but you will still get credit.  If it is new and sellable - they will want it back.  If it is broken, they will want it back.  If it is not broken and sellable, they will want it back. If you are replacing an item, you will need to click the Replacement Item link in the last box. Click continueSelect the ones you want to submit OR Add more items if you have moreClick submit to Avon A Summary will appear - Choose Create Shipment Later You get an INSTANT credit to your account IF you are returning something.  If it is a replacement it will not affect your balance.  The item you are replacing will come automatically in your next order.  You do NOT need to re-order.  Same with back orders - those come automatically. If you need to return any items - you have 30 days to send them back.  This allows you time to sell the item rather than send it back.  Put a box in the corner and just add items to it as you get returns.  If you sell something in your box, you would choose the rebill for sold items link on the left of the screen.

How to Process a Return to Avon (con’t)

After something has been in your box for 30 days you will either get a message on your next return OR you will get an email that says that you need to go ahead and send them in. You will choose Create Shipment Now and you have the option to send via UPS or USPS.  Most Office Depots allow you to just drop the box after you create the label.  No money is needed up front - Avon will bill you for the shipment AFTER they get it.  You print a box summary and mailing label when you go into the create shipment now link. It's all about how you use your returns on how they charge you for returns.  They won't charge postage on a defective item, but they will on "customer changed mind".  Combining everything in the box, saves money.  Avon calculates the postage based on what is in the box and why it is being returned. Be sure to check your account summary on a regular basis to make sure all returns/rebills happen as planned.  Also since you don't get a new invoice, this is how you check your balance after you have processed these types of things. On your next invoice you will get pages at the end that will talk about these returns - you can just ignore them, since you are doing it online.
