04. If you had to choose one lens, which one would it be and why?B- The one I'm using the most, the canon ef 17-40mm f/4l USM. It is a great fit for landscape shooting, but also flexible enough for general purpose. The 17 is a great focal distance for landscape, and added to the full sensor of the camera it is like you take a step back when you are aiming.

03. What type of cameras you shoot with? Which one is your favorite?

B- I shoot with DSLRs, I'm now attached to my canon 6D, it is my first full-frame camera and I hope not to be the last. Before that I had a cropped one, the 600D, canon as well.

01. How long have you been a photographer and how does it started in you life?

B- It's been 2 years only. It started once I came to live in Europe, as the landscapes and cityscapes were completely different from the ones in Brazil, I felt the need to save the memory.

02. How would you describe your style? Which things do you like taking photos of the most?

B- I really like to photograph landscapes and cityscapes, this passion came together with the traveling one, it is great to get to discover new places in the world and be able to catch it in my lens.

06. How do you educate yourself to take better photos?B- There are actually very nice tutorials in youtube, professionals who teach from beginners to advanced levels, from general purpose photos to the most specific ones. I have some ebooks and I also use to visit photography blogs as much as possible.

05. How important is Photoshop (or any other editing software) in your final images?

B- I use Lightroom. As I take shots using RAW format, it is good to be able to change basic features afterwards, sometimes you miss the right exposition, for example, it is nice to have the possibility of editing it. Besides basic attributes, I correct the leveling and do some cropping, as the wide angle of the lens sometimes catches more elements than I need.

08. Where would be your dream destination for a photo shooting?B- From the places I haven't been yet, I'd love to go up North, could be Norway, to photograph the aurora borealis, that would be an amazing landscape scenario.

09. What is your favorite recent image you have shot? Why?B- I've been in Japan last september and I took a shot from the top of one of their biggest skyscrapers in Tokyo. I was fascinated with all the details of that cityscape, and as I took it at night, I used a long exposition, so we can see the small traces of the car lights in the streets.

10. What advice do you have for somebody who wants to pursue photography?B- If beginning, start with a general purpose equipment and see what pleases you the most to photograph, after that you'll be able to make better choices on specialized lens and so on. Learn the basic concepts and rules to get outside the automatic mode. The most important is to be willing to evolve, find better locations, better camera settings; in other words, have always in mind that you are not done yet and you will still take your best shot.

07. What do you think is the most challenging thing about photographing?

B- I think it is to give your photo a story, that it would not be just another photo of a given thing/landscape/person, but that it could be unique in its own way and tell a story by itself.
