DESCRIPTION
Design an experiment or series of experiments to help corporate data scientists better understand the importance of ethical considerations in their own research. The data scientists are the subject of this experiment. There are eight rules.

The experiment has eight rules.

Rule 1:!
The experiment requires data consent from the subjects analogous to that which they obtain in their own research.

Rule 2:!
The experiment will target a random sample from the cohort of possible subjects.

Rule 3:!
The experiment can utilise any data that the subject’s organisation uses to experiment with its own customers.

For example current location, audio feeds, photographs & social graph.

Rule 4:!
The experiment will use publicly available services and tools, including platforms adopted by the subjects themselves to
gather data and introduce stimuli. !
For example San Da Ha, Task Rabbit, Facebook, ZhuBaJie or Mechanical Turk.

Rule 5:!
The research will not currently be illegal in the country where the researcher and the subjects are based.

The process will minimise the risk of discovery of the experiment by the subjects and their wider social graph.

The results will be published by the researchers.

The researchers consent to being part of subsequent experiments under these same eight rules.
