3d modeling in Sketchup

Turn you Sketch into 3D – Method 1

If you have made any sketches, you can turn that into 3D model using Sketchup.

Procedure

Scan the image to jpeg format

Select the file you have saved

Import as an image

Scale the image according to the right sizeMeasure any line using the tape measure tool to get the length

adjust according to the right scale using scale tool (you need a calculator to calculate the scale factor)

Import Cad file into Sketchup – Method 2

If you have created your plan from autocad, you can build 3D model in Sketchup using this method

Procedure

Import the cad file into sketchup Import as an image in Sketchup Scale the image according to the right size Draw lines tracing the sketch till you finish
