Seat raising actuator lets aircrew adjust the seat height to the correct position before flight.

CMD FWD

The mode selector valve lets the aircrew select one of three modes to fire the ejection seats.

Pull the seat firing handle to eject.

• The ISS in “SOLO” Mode Front seat firing handle is pulled; ONLY

Front canopy jettisons 0 sec, Front seat ejects 0.40 sec.

Rear seat firing handle is pulled; ONLY Rear canopy jettisons 0 sec, Rear seat ejects 0.40 sec.

Inter-seat Sequencing System

• The ISS in “BOTH” Mode Front or rear seat firing handle is pulled;

Rear canopy jettisons 0 sec,

Rear seat ejects 0.40 sec,

Front canopy jettisons 0.85 sec,

Front seat ejects 1.30 sec.

• The ISS in “CMD FWD” Mode

Rear seat firing handle is pulled; ONLY Rear canopy jettisons 0 sec, Rear seat ejects 0.40 sec.

Front seat firing handle is pulled;Rear canopy jettisons 0 sec,Rear seat ejects 0.40 sec,Front canopy jettisons 0.85 sec,Front seat ejects 1.30 sec.
