ESSENTIAL UNIT 4 (E04)

(Daily Activities)(JULY 2016)

Unit Statement: Student will talk about his/her daily activities, school life (subjects etc.), mealtimes, using selected verbs of motion in present tense. He/she will learn to express likes and dislikes, memorize and apply names of months, days of the week, times of the day and words today, tomorrow, yesterday, before yesterday, after tomorrow. The student will create a story about somebody’s daily activities and make a presentation/project about his/her imaginary day.

Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)

1. The Student Will recognize vocabulary words and phrases related to the topic.

2. TSW ask and answer questions about one’s preferences. (e.g.: What is your favorite season/ day of the week/subject etc., and why? When do you like to do your homework/go to bed/eat?).

3. TSW describe one’s daily and weekly schedule.

4. TSW identify numbers from 100 to 500.

5. TSW ask and answer questions about time and schedule (e.g.: When is ...? What time/day is it?).

6. TSW write a journal entry about his/her day at school using introduced vocabulary and grammar patterns.

7. TSW conjugate verbs related to the topic in Present.

8. TSW prepare a dialogue about daily activities.

9. TSW demonstrate his/her imaginary day in a presentation/project.

10. TSW read a text and answer the questions.
