Colloquium SFIP-SIA-INSA Lyon-Mines Douai « Polymer materials for additive manufacturing: today and tomorrow“ March 23 & 24, 2016 at INSA Lyon (France) 1 With the participation of CALL FOR PAPERS SFIP, together with SIA, INSA Lyon and Mines Douai organize a colloquium: « Polymer materials for additive manufacturing: today and tomorrow » to be held at INSA Lyon (France) on March 23 & 24, 2016 Many technical papers describe the process progresses of additive manufacturing while general medias present realizations of 3D printing. Practical applications of the corresponding technologies are in progress but only in a limited number of sectors: medical, prototype parts, short series of functional parts. All kind of materials are used for additive manufacturing: metals, ceramics, concretes, polymers… In the polymer sector, these technologies could lead to a real revolution if the good materials can be applied to the different processes. Then serial parts with the required properties (aspect, mechanical, durability, …) could be obtained. In order to assess additive manufacturing for plastic parts, a colloquium is organized by SFIP, SIA, INSA Lyon and Mines Douai, on March 23 & 24, 2016 at INSA Lyon. During this colloquium we will set the state of art of additive manufacturing applications. Then we will try to detect expectations in terms of materials and also perspectives for future. If you are interested in giving a paper, please send us an abstract of half a page (one A4 page maximum) and use the form on pages 2 and 3 to send your proposal already now, but no later than 20 November 2015.
