Volume 3, Number 12 HAWTHORNE AT LEESBURG December 16, 1994 HAWTHORNE SECURITY Our Security Force plays an important role here at Hawthorne. They have been a part of our community Slnce the opening in 1973. We have corne to depend on them for not only feeling secure in our homes but also to know that each and every person involved with Security is licensed by three separate state agencies. They are Emergency Medical Technician (EMT's as we know them), Basic fire fighting, and proprietary security officer. The standards required for these licenses require a minimum of over 300 hours of basic training plus recertification updates. Many of our Security personnel have had more advanced training than what Hawthorne actually requires. It is reassuring to know that in an emergency you not only get a familiar face, but you get someone who is trained and certified to assist you. Hawthorne has a superior fire safety record. We have never lost a horne to a fire. If you are in need of Security for emergency purposes, you can call them by pressing your horne's emergency button. If you are able, it is always wise to follow up with a phone call. The number to call is 728-3473. Do not call 91l. Security will respond immediately and assess the situation.
