Can I take this course? Suitable for over 16s and adults who have achieved Level 2 Beauty Therapy and are considering a career as a beauty

therapist in a salon, spa, cruise ship or aesthetics clinic

What is included in this course? The following units will be studied, alongside Maths and English if necessary:

• Provide body massage • Provide pre-blended aromatherapy massage

• Facial electrical treatments • Apply stone therapy massage

• Body electrical treatments • Client care & communication

• Health & Safety in the salon • Working in beauty related industries

This is an evidence based qualification and your work will be assessed by observation of practical performance, written assignments and multiple choice examinations.

Entry Requirements: • A level 2 beauty therapy qualification and interview attendance

• Ideally Grade 4 or C or above in English and Maths and two GCSE Grade 3 or D or the equivalent (BTEC)

• Commitment to study Maths and English if GCSE Grade 4 has not yet been achieved

• Purchase of a uniform and text book prior to the course starting

Course Extras: Alongside your Level 3 Diploma you may be able to complete enrichment activities such as;

• Spray tanning, individual lashes or acrylic nails

• Perform treatments on paying clients in our professional realistic salon training environment.

What can I progress to? You may progress onto a Level 4 programme, attend university or enter employment.

How much is the course?

The course is free for learners aged 16-18 on 31st August 2018.

For those aged 19+ the full cost of the course will be approximately £3500 although it may be eligible for government

funding or funded by an advanced learner loan. Please call the academy to discuss.
