The area is definitely unique, it is such a wide area but the different states complement each other perfectly with easy access from state to state, either by train or car, and you can go from driving through a national park to finding yourself in a busy city such as Detroit or Minneapolis whiling the day away for her at The Mall of America (hundreds of stores under one roof with tax free shopping on clothing and shoes!) or for him in the Ford museum learning the history of motoring in Detroit.

The Taj Mahal is an architectural masterpiece commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his favourite wife Empress Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Shah Jahan’s love for his wife was so great that he ordered the building of the most beautiful mausoleum on Earth for her. Known particularly for its symmetry, the Taj Mahal sits on a raised platform surrounded by four minarets. Inside the building are delicate mosaic works and marble walls decorated with intricate patterns of inlaid precious stones and caligraphy. Some say that the white marble of the Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon, while on a foggy morning, visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Yamuna river.
