The 2011 Putnam County Fair looms as “The ActionAttraction” of the summer. An overhauled entertainment menubeckons, spiced to entice with a variety of choices. So come towhere the action is!

The action at the Grandstand promises a variety from cars toguitars. On Monday, we salute our veterans both past and pres-ent. Trumpets blare and drums beat as area schools showcasetheir marching bands. Harness racing sets the pace Tuesday andWednesday evenings. Thursday rocks the house with JonaleeWhite followed by McGuffey Lane. The weekend is a real“crash course.” Friday’s Grandstand show features a car demoderby topped off with the first ever lawn mower demo. The

“yard” may need re-landscaped when this one’s over. The fieldor should we say demo pit will be full of creatively decoratedcombines Saturday. Witness a one-of-a-kind harvest festivalwhere the goal is to inflict pain, rather than gather grain. The“harm down on the farm” so to speak also includes transformingpickups into “beat ups.” Grandstand action concludes Saturdaynight with the biggest bang of all, the fireworks.

From the Grandstand, roll on over to the revised and upgrad-

ed Entertainment Tent. Rock to “Nashville Crush,” “Spikeand the Bulldogs” and others. Local radio personality “The BigKahuna” will D.J. tunes for the teens, too. Just be there! Aloha!

The plaza at the main gate will be transformed into an enter-tainment island paradise daily. Dubbed “Action at the Arches”,

this attraction hub offers an antique tractor show; race car exhib-

it; COSI (Center of Science andIndustry) displays; and bone

bruising wrestling (two nights). When the bell rings, somebodyis gonna get their bell rung.

Be ringside for the returnof the Wambold Circus andtheir amazing animals. Youwill be intrigued and well…amazed! The PoppytownPuppets will also pop back inbringing their theatrical anticswith them. Ronald McDonaldpromises a memorable visit toour Entertainment Tent and ever

popular Farmer John will parkthe famous Barnyard Expressfor the week — just for you kids.Between it all and through it all, take in Durant’s Amusementscomprised of thrilling rides, challenging games and tasty treats. Check out the “MidwayMania!”

We’re virtually crazy about making everyday a fun day atthe 2011 Putnam County Fair. This manifold of entertainmentis made possible by the various merchants, retailers, business, corporations and individuals who provide support throughsponsorship and advertisement. Please support them in turn. The

Board of Directors of the Putnam County Agricultural Society

also acknowledges the cooperation of and contributions by theCounty Commissioners and all state and local officials includ-

ing police, fire and emergency responders. We are grateful forthe hard work and dedication of the 4H Extension Service,Junior Fairboard, 4H and FFA advisers and countless, selflessvolunteers

The 2011 Putnam County Fair is packed with activity! It’struly the big attraction. Have a fun time in the summer time at

the Putnam County Fair, “The Action Attraction”.
