17024:2012 Transition plan
Two year transition plan
Application based on ISO/IEC 17024:2012 will be published by July 1, 2013
ANSI will continue to accept applications under ISO/IEC 17024:2003 until December 31, 2013.
All applications submitted after Jan 1, 2014 must demonstrate compliance to ISO/IEC 17024:2012.
All accredited organizations must demonstrate compliance to ISO/IEC 17024:2012 by July 1, 2014.
This will be done during the annual surveillance/reaccreditation from 2013 to 2014

Client day meeting- September 25
Inter-agency meeting September 12- (Department of Transportation, US Postal Service)
Credentialing resource center meeting September 72013 Training, Las Vegas, January 22-24
PCAC decision on 4.3.5- Certification shall not be restricted on the grounds of undue financial or other limiting conditions
ABC certification sets a base examination fee, test centers are authorized to charge different fees for the examinations. Candidates at different test centers are thus charged different fees.
Access to examinations is limited by the variability of exam fees resulting in a potential restriction on the
grounds of undue financial or other limiting conditions.
4.1.1 - policies and procedures and their administrations shall be fair and equitable to all candidates
Review and completion of reports on time
Initial desk review- 6 weeks
Surveillance report- 4 weeks
Response to NCs -15 days
Preparation and uploading the reports in ANSICA-15 days from the completion of onsite or desk assessment.
