Previously on LOST:

1) Rousseau saying that the Others are coming.2) Michael taking Nadia into the jungle where she is knocked

out.3) Howard shooting Michael or Nadia and the other one being

led off into the jungle.4) Rousseau saying there is dynamite at the Black Rock.5) Jack, Kate, Hurley, Luke, Locke, Artz and Rousseau walking

into the jungle.

6) The Black Rock in the jungle.7) Libby and Paulo going missing.

Exterior. Jungle. (Day).

We see Jack, Kate, Luke, Hurley, Locke, Artz and Rousseaustood in the jungle staring at the Black Rock.

Hurley:

What the hell? How did that get here?!

Rousseau:Are you on the same island that I am?

Rousseau glances at Hurley before walking forward towards theBlack Rock. Locke follows straight after her but the others lookuneasy. After a moment, Jack and Kate follow them and others

follow them.

Rousseau:The dynamite is in the hull. In a large case marked

explosives.

Jack:What... arent you coming in?

Rousseau:I dont go in... Its usually Robert.

Jack:Whos Robert?

Rousseau:

My husband.

Kate:Your husband? Who is he?

Rousseau ignores her and moves over to a large hole which hasbeen smashed in the side of the ship. She stops at the side of

it.

Rousseau:So whos going in?

Jack:I will.

Kate:Me too.

Jack:I think you should wait outside.

Kate:What? Why--?

Locke:We dont have time for this! Ill go in too.

Luke:Ill help.

Locke:Ok then.

Jack walks into the side of the ship and Locke and Luke followhim. The camera fades to black.

-LOST-Commercial Break.

Flashback. Interior. Liam Paces House Australia. (Morning).

We see Charlie sat down at a large dining table in the middle of

eating breakfast. Liam Pace walks into the room and Charlieturns to him. He looks down at the floor.

Charlie:Wheres your bag?

Liam:Im... not coming, Charlie. I cant come. Megan... shes fallen ill.

I have to stay and look after her.

Charlie:What?! Whats wrong with her?

Liam:I dont know... just a bug. I think. Anyway, Ill be flying out in afew days. I checked the flight details... theres another plane

leaving in three days.Booked tickets already. So dont worry...Driveshaft will reunite!

Charlie:Only come out if Megans ok. We can always cancel the gig if

youre not back. Its no biggie.

Liam:I will be with you in a few days.

Charlie grins at Liam as the flashback sound begins...

Exterior.Jungle Hatch. (Day).

We see Charlie sat down on the ground beside Claire andAaron. They are sat in front of the exposed hatch top which has

several random survivors sat on or around it. Charlie handsClaire a few pieces of fruit.

Charlie:Howre you? And Aaron?

Claire:Im ok thanks. And so is Aaron... just a little restless.

Charlie:

Whats up with him like?

Claire:I dunno. He just wont sleep.

Claire begins to rock Aaron back and forth as she looks around.

Claire:Hey... wheres Nadia? And Michael? They arent here.

Charlie:(Also looking around)

I dunno.(Shouting)

Hey, Sayid! You seen Nadia and Michael?

The camera pans over to Sayid who is sat beside Sun and Jin.He stands up and begins to walk over to Charlie and Claire.

Sayid:She told me she was going for a walk with Michael earlier. I

didnt want her to go. But she insisted... said Michael neededsomeone to talk to. So I told her wed be here. Im beginning to

get a little worried about her now, to be honest.

Claire:How long ago was this?

Sayid:About... an hour. Or two.

Sayid looks out into the jungle a little worried before showingBoone who is sat beside Charlie and Claire, listening to the

conversation. It cuts back to Sayid.

Sayid:Im gunna go look for her.

Its been amazing! I still cant believe the raise I got!

Libby:Lucky for some.

Boone grins.

Libby:Anyway, Im gunna have to go. Got some packing to do.

Boone:Yeah, me too. Bye.

Boone hangs up the phone and puts it on the bedside table. Hestands up and walks over to his drawers. He begins to emptythem into a large suitcase as the phone rings. Boone sighs andwalks back over to get it. He answers the phone and a woman

speaks.

Woman:Boone?

Boone:Oh, my God! Why are you ringing me? You havent spoke to mein two and a half years since you broke up with me!

Woman:I know I havent. But I need money. I heard about your raise you

got... I didnt ask for a cent when we got divorced. Please,Boone.

Boone:Why do you need money? Is it for--?

Woman:(Cutting him off)

Yeah, it is. Please, Boone. Please.

Boone:(Sighing)

Fine. Ill see what I can manage. Ill call you when I get back toLA...

Boone hangs up the phone looking very disgruntled as theflashback sound begins...

Interior. Black Rock. (Day).

We see Jack, Locke and Luke making their way through theship. From just looking at the interior of the ship, it is obviousthat it has been here for sometime. Centurys maybe. Locke isholding a flashlight in his hand as they continue into the ship.

Locke takes the lead of the three of them as they delve deeperinto the ship, looking for the hull. The flashlight pans down to

the ground and the camera follows it. We see a skeleton

(covered in cobwebs) chained up to the wall of the ship. Theflashlight and camera pan along and we see a further threeskeletons also chained up. Locke turns to Luke and Jack.

Locke:Slaves... this must have been a slave ship. Probably on a trade

route to England, America.

He turns back round and walks past the corpses. Luke and Jack

follow him further into the ship. Locke reaches a half destroyeddoor and he pulls it further open. He walks through the doorand the camera follows him in. The flashlight falls immediatelyon a large crate at the back of the room labelled DYNOMITE

DANGER; EXPLOSIVES.

Locke:(Indicating the crate)

There.

He walks over to the crate and Jack and Luke follow him.

Locke:Ill carry it.

Jack:Me too.

Locke hands the flashlight to Luke.

Locke:Guide us out...

Carefully, Locke moves to the side of the crate and takes it in

his hands. Jack does the same on the other end of the crateand together, slowly, they lift the crate up. The camera cuts to:

Ex terior. Jungle Black Rock. (Day).

We see Hurley, Kate, Rousseau and Artz sat down on a largelog outside of the ship. There is an awkward silence betweenthem. We hear movement in front of them and the camera

pans round to show Luke walking out of the crack in the ship.

He is soon followed by Jack and Locke who lower the crateimmediately on the ground. The other four make their way overto the crate.

Rousseau:Be careful. Theyve very volatile.

Artz:(Rushing forward)

Careful! Ill do it!

Artz pushes Jack, Locke and Luke away and ushers them backfrom the ship. They make their way over to the log and watchhim. They all look pissed as the camera moves back to Artz.

Artz kneels beside the crate and carefully lifts the lid of it. Hepulls a large cloth out of his bag and wets it on a puddle on theground before laying it beside the crate. He then puts his hands

into the crate as the flashback sound begins...

Flashback. Interior. Restaurant Australia. (Night).

We see Artz sat down at a table looking extremely nervous.The camera briefly shows the restaurant that he is in not veryposh or expensive. He picks up a napkin and wipes his brow on

it as he continues to look around. As the camera pans up, wesee a woman approach him. He has his back to her so he

doesnt see her until she speaks.

Woman:

Are you...(Thinking for a moment)

Doctor. Artz?

Artz swivvels round in his seat and looks at the woman. Herhuge grin drops instantly.

Artz:Yup, sure am. You Alice Samson?

The woman doesnt answer straight away she seemsdistracted.

Alice:Umm... yeah.

Artz:Come, come. Sit.

Artz indicated the seat opposite him and she sits down. Shecontinues to gaze at Artz.

Alice:So you look... different... from your picture.

Artz:Well to be honest... I used my brothers photo. I didnt really

have a decent photo of me and well... we dont look too muchapart, do we?

We grins at Alice who mealy frowns at him.

Alice:Well actually... I umm... I have to go.

Alice stands up and Artz looks confused.

Artz:What? You only just came...

She doesnt reply. She walks out of the restaurant as Artzwatches her go, flabbergasted. The flashback sound begins...

Exterior. Jungle Black Rock. (Day).

Artz extracts a stick of dynamite and carefully lowers it into the

sodden cloth on the ground. He wraps it around the dynamitebefore sighing with relief.

Artz:Dynamite is extremely volatile...

He picks up the wrapped up dynamite.

Artz:

Should be handled carefully.

He waves his arm to indicate that the danger had passed andKA-BOOM!!!! The dynamite, and Artz, blow up!! The others arethrown to the ground as bits of Artz rain down on them. Jackgets up first and looks around. The ground is covered in tinybits of Artz. Hurley is the next to stand up, looking dazed. He

glances over at Jack before saying:

Hurley:Dude... you got some Artz on you.

The camera fades to black.

Commercial Break.


The camera opens up inside of the Black Rock. The room inwhich we are in is barely visible. We see several chained upskeletons. And suddenly... KA-BOOM!!! Artz blows up from

outside and we hear a groaning sound. The camera pans downto show Libby chained up in the room, stirring. The camera cuts

to:

Exterior.Jungle Black Rock. (Day).

Jack and Locke are now knelt down to the crate, carefullyextracting dynamite from it and wrapping them in wet cloth.

Hurley approaches them.

Hurley:Hey... when you were in there... did you see Libby? Or Paulo?

Locke:No, we didnt. Im sorry.

Hurley:Can I have a flashlight please? Im going in to look.

Kate:Ill come in with you.(To Jack; sarcastically)

If thats ok?

Kate snatches the flashlight from Jack and heads into the BlackRock. Hurley follows her as the camera cuts to:


Libby manages to shake the gag from out of her mouth andbegins to shout.

Libby:Help! Help!

The camera cuts to Hurley and Kate making their way throughthe Black Rock. We hear the faint shouting of Libby.

Hurley:Hey... you hear that?

Kate:Libby?

The camera cuts back to Libby as she tries to pull her handsfrom the chains that bind her. No success. We hear movementand the camera pans up to show Hurley and Kate stood there,

watching her. Hurley rushes over to her and kisses her.

Libby:Theres a key somewhere in here... they threw it across the

room when they chained us up.

Kate:(Looking at Paulo)

Is he ok?

Libby:(Fighting back tears)

They killed him!

As Kate bends down to examine Paulo, Hurley begins to lookaround the room for the key. The camera cuts to:

Exterior. Jungle Hatch. (Day).

We see Claire, Sun and Jin sat down beside the hatch. Aaron iscrying loudly and Claire is trying to sooth him.

Sun:

You need some help?

Claire:Uhh... no, thanks. Ill be fine.

We hear a twig snap and Sun whips round to look. There isnothing there. We then hear rustling coming from the trees,

and simultaneously, the remaining survivors at the hatch standup and look at the rustling. The camera pans down lower,

showing the trees as a pair of feet walk out into the clearing.The camera pans up but before it shows who it is, it whips

round to show Claire as the flashback sound begins...

Flashback. Interior. Australia Airport Australia. (Morning).

We see Claire sat down on a seat at a cafe with a plastic cup ofcoffee in her hands. She blows on it briefly as a man walks over

to her.

Man:

You mind if I sit...? All the other tables are full.

Claire looks up and nods at the man.

Claire:Sure.

She blows on her coffee again as the man sits down and puts acup of coffee and a hat down on the table. Claire looks at the

hat. The man notices her looking at the hat.

Man:Oh... Im a pilot. Thats why I got the hat.

(Laughing)Seth Norris, at youre service.

Seth smiles at Claire who returns it.

Claire:What plane you flying?

Seth:

Oceanic 815.

Claire:What a coincidence... thats the one Im flying on.

Seth:Ahh right. You a nervous flier?

Seth looks at Claire who is shaking a little as she sips hercoffee.

Claire:Im not too good. Im extra nervous than usual.

Claire indicated her stomach which is massive she is clearlyquite far gone in her pregnancy.

Seth:Aww... dont worry. Ill make sure the flight is extra smooth.

He smiles as he glances at his watch.

Claire:Thanks.

Seth:Sorry, but I gotta go get ready.

He stands up and picks up his hat and coffee. He wavesgoodbye as the flashback sound begins...


The screen is black as we hear Hurley speak.

Hurley:Gottit!

A flashlight beams over to Hurley as he stands up holding asmall key in his hands. He rushes over to Libby and unlocks her

chains. They hug tightly before Libby glances down at Paulo.

Libby:What should we do with him?

Kate:Leave him...

Libby:Leave him?! But we cant!

Kate:This is a good a place as ever to lay him to rest.

The camera pans over to libby looking uneasy as the camerafades to black.

Commercial Break.

Flashback. Interior. Australian Airport Australia. (Day).

We see Sayid and Nadia sat down on a couple of seats waitingfor the call for their plane. Sayid takes Nadias hand and smiles

at her.

Sayid:There was something I wanted to ask you... here in Australia.

But I couldnt find a good opportunity.

Nadia:What is it?

Sayid puts his other hand into his jacket pocket and pulls out asmall box. He smiles at Nadia who looks surprised.

Sayid:Will you marry me?

The camera focuses on Nadias face as she smiles, starting tocry.

Nadia:Of course!

Sayid kisses Nadia as the flashback sound begins...

Interior. Jungle. (Day).

We see Boone and Sayid running through a field of tall grasssurrounded by trees.

Boone:Whats that?

Boone points to something off screen as he and Sayid rushover to it. The camera cuts to:

Exterior.Jungle Black Rock. (Day).

The camera is focused on the crack in the Black Rock as Katewalks out of it. She is soon followed by Hurley and Libby.

Kate:

Paulos back there... hes dead.

She indicated the Black Rock as Jack and Locke stand up.

Jack:We should leave him here...

The others nod as Jack and Locke put their packs on theirbacks.

Locke:We put the dynamite in out bags. Im going to lead us back.

Jack, you should be at the back of the line. In case it blows.

Kate looks around at the group before saying:

Kate:Wheres Rousseau?

Locke:She went. I dont know where.

Jack:We should go.

The survivors, silently, get into a line and Locke begins to leadthem from the Black Rock. The camera cuts to them walking

through the jungle a little while on. A loud screeching sound isheard and Hurley looks up as a bird flies past.

Voice:Hurley!

The bird screeches again and Hurley looks around at theothers.

Hurley:Did that bird just say my name?

The rest ignore him as they continue through the jungle. Hurleylooks around.

Hurley:Whoever called this place the Dark Territory... Genius.

As they make their way further through the jungle the camera

cuts to:

Exterior. Jungle. (Day).

We see Boone and Sayid stood over whatever they are lookingat on the ground. Boone turns to Sayid.

Boone:Im so sorry dude.

The camera pans down to show Nadias bloody corpse lyingamongst the tall grass. Sayid begins to cry as he bends down

and kisses her on the forehead. The music reaches its peak andthe camera smashes to black.

LOSTNext time:

VO: The answers are coming.

1) Quick clip of the hatch top.2) Kate being lowered into it.

3) Michael stood beside Sawyer and Howard.4) Sayid digging.

5) Locke being dragged backwards through the jungle.6) A black screen as the monster sound is heard.
