with adults and the love for home cooked food, and you have stirred up

the essence of Curious Chef.

The idea behind Curious Chef was truly a special moment for us.

Here we were, parents of little ones, struggling to find cooking

utensils that our children could use in the kitchen. We had

plenty of adult-sized utensils, gadgets, and cutlery sitting

around our kitchen cupboards, but none that fit our kids’ hands

just right. That is when we knew we were onto something big. Why not create a whole line of kid-friendly utensils

for small hands?! As professionals in the housewares industry and parents of young children, we knew we had the

experience, expertise, and capabilities to design real kitchen utensils for the children we loved. To keep the products

kid-centric, we incorporated the elements of safety and vibrant color throughout our entire line. We wanted children

to truly own their own set of kitchen tools and accessories so they could get excited about the cooking experience

itself. In no time at all, we knew they would be gathering at the kitchen counter to concoct their very own edible

creations, becoming budding chefs in the making!

We know every successful endeavor begins with a great idea that fulfills an essential need. Our entire line of Curious

Consumer Focus Group SessionsThe evolution of the Curious Chef brand was influenced through

multiple consumer group panels. We listened to what mothers

wanted when it came to cooking with children in the kitchen.

These sessions addressed all areas of the program including

branding, packaging, product, and price.

What do the Kids Think?Various handle designs were created for child

testing. Through group cooking activities, we were

able to work with the children and determine

which handle they felt was the most comfortable

and easy to use. Multiple private test sessions

were also conducted in which all of the products

were evaluated and critiqued in real life settings. The overall

consensus was “this is fun!”

We understand the real test kitchen for our Curious Chef products is the kids we designed for and the special adults in their lives. To make our products perfect for small hands, we went directly to our target audience and sought feedback. We listened … and we redesigned in order to bring the best possible kid-friendly kitchen line to market for children to enjoy on their journey of discovery and fun in the kitchen.
