Who is eligible for Alumni membership? MEMBERSHIP
Annual Alumni membership dues are $50 and may be paid directly to NSBE National Headquarters or to your chapter. Most chapters charge chapter dues (paid directly to the chapter), and these fees are in addition to the national dues. Upon graduation, student members are strongly encouraged to continue their participation with NSBE and join the Alumni Extension of Technical Professionals. The membership dues are free to students who join within one year of graduation (a $50 value)! What are the benefits? Subscription to NSBE Magazine

If your city or state doesn't have a chapter, we invite you to start one! How do I start a chapter? The following requirements must be met to charter or re-charter a chapter in NSBE.
• Each chapter must have at least 10 members to re-charter or to charter a new chapter. A group may petition the National Executive Board to allow for a chapter with less than 10 members.
• Each chapter must update/complete all relevant chapter information. This information includes but is not limited to chapter address, phone number, etc.
• Each chapter must submit a Chapter Constitution by uploading online. Renewing chapters are not required to submit a constitution unless a modification has been made since the previous year.
• Each chapter must declare their top 4 officers (i.e. Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary). • Each new chapter must be electronically approved by someone a World Headquarters Membership Team
staff member. The instructions below detail how to start an alumni chapter in NSBE.
1. Go to www.nsbe.org and select the membership tab. 2. Select “Complete and submit your chartering information online”. 3. Click “ADD” under the Current Submission column. 4. Complete your chapter’s information. 5. Designate your chapter’s top officers. Be sure to note that these officers have to be members of the fiscal
period that you are chartering your chapter. That is, if you are chartering your chapter for the 2010-2011 year, your officers need to have paid their membership dues for the 2010-2011 year.
6. Confirm your chapter’s information. Note that your chapter will not be re-chartered until there are 10 paid members associated with the chapter for the current fiscal year.
7. Upload a copy of the Chapter Constitution.
