JOB CREATION• Oppose burdensome red tape and regulations

that are stifling business development

• Support legislation like Work-NY that provides tax credits for businesses that hire veterans and the unemployed

• Co-sponsor the New York State Small Business Affordable Health Care Insurance Act, allowing small businesses to offer more basic and affordable health insurance policies

• Supporting NRG and local employers

2013 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES

WELFARE REFORM• Co-sponsor the Public Integrity Act, prohibiting

the use of public assistance benefits at a liquor store, casino or adult entertainment facility

• Allow local Social Service offices to hold hearings electronically, creating a more efficient and faster response time for services

• Support for random drug testing and prohibit illegal drug users from receiving public assistance

• Strengthen the requirement for able-bodied welfare recipients to seek employment

TAX RELIEF • Continue to reduce local Medicaid growth by

two-thirds, saving county taxpayers over $550,000 a year

• Support Regional High Schools, saving taxpayers’ money while improving the quality of education for our children

• Increasing education aid for our schools

• Oppose any increase in taxes and fees
