Tournament Details(Fraser Valley, B.C.) Chilliwack Golf Club,
SandpiperGolf Course and the Falls Golf Club are excited toannounce
the creation of the first Fraser Valley Opengolf tournament. This
three-day, fifty-four holetournament will host 48 of British
Columbias leadinggolf professionals and 144 amateur golfers on
August
30, 31 & September 1, 2014 (Labour Day Weekendof 2014).
The Fraser Valley Open willbe a key stop on theVancouver Golf
Tour (VGT) order of merit schedule,and we are excited to partner
with Fraser Mulhollandand the VGT.
The Fraser Valley Opens Organizing Committee iscollaborating
with Tourism Chilliwack and TourismHarrison Hot Springs as they
prepare to welcomeBCs top Amateurs and Golfing Professionals to
theChilliwack/Harrison.
Full Field Size: 198 playersProfessional Purse: $15,000*(*based
on full field).
Amateur Payout: Top Gross Scores inChampionship Flight win
prizes. Top Gross Scoreand the top Low Net Scores in Flight A &
B win prizes.
EligibilityThis is an open even & priority will be given to
thefirst paid entries. All amateur participants must havea valid
Golf Canada HDCP not to exceed 18.0.

Round 1The Fal ls Golf Club, in Chilliwack wascarved from the
foothills of Mount Cheam, providingthe course with a dramatic
landscape that is ideal fora challenging round. The views from the
golf coursespan across the scenic Fraser Valley. The challengeand
scenery of the Falls has earned it a reputationamongst locals as
one of BC's best-kept secrets. Therolling terrain is accented with
natural rockoutcroppings and tall cedars, which both come intoplay
throughout the golf course. The changes inelevation total over 750
feet, ranging from subtle to
dramatic. There are many formidable holes but theyeach have an
average of five sets of tees so thatplayers of all abilities can
play to their skill level. TheFalls Golf Club's memorable fourth
hole even hasnine different tees as well as a 100-foot drop to
thegreen.

Round 2 Sandpiper Gol f Cou rse,recent winner of
the PGA of BCs Hidden Gem awards, is located 75minutes East of
Vancouver and is open to the public364 days a year. This par 72
course runs 6,500 yardsfrom the back tees, and is gently sloped,
featuringfour sets of tees for all playing abilities.
Canadiancourse designer, Russ Olsen, has done an amazingjob of
taking advantage of the spectacular water andmountain vistas when
designing this masterpiece.Sandpiper Golf Course has played host to
severalVancouver Golf Tour events, most notably the 2013Canada
Bread BC Match Play & the VGTs Inaugural36-Hole Major Series
Event the 2013 VGTSandpiper Open.

semi-private facility located betweenChilliwack and Abbotsford--
