2015 YEAR END RECAPANNUAL CHAPTERSPONSORSHIP

2015 was a year of exciting change for our NEFLCAI chapter. Your 2015 Board of Directors setgoals for the chapter this year including:

• provide social events and educationalopportunities to our outlying areas • increase membership • become known as an educational resource inour industry • improve our website to be more user-friendlyand a valuable resource • publish quality quarterly newsletters • provide specific programs for managers andboard members

We achieved the majority of the goals and more. Earlier in the year we changed our name to theNortheast Florida Chapter of CAI to better reflectthe area we serve and attract a broaderaudience from our large chapter footprint. Weprovided fun-filled social events in theBaymeadows area at Veterans Brewery, inDowntown Jacksonville at Sweet Pete’s, thebeaches at the Casa Marina, and rounding outour social events for the year in St. Augustine atthe Ice Plant Distillery. Thanks to Laurie Shraderwith Angius & Terry, LLP we provided freeeducational lunch and learn events specificallyfor our managers and board members in the St.Augustine area.

Thanks to the wonderful feedback from our members and due to our Chapter Executive

2015 Volunteerof the Year

It is with great excitement that I begin my term as President of the NortheastFlorida Chapter. I am grateful for the opportunity to follow in Cindy’s footsteps inleading our chapter and carrying on with the positive momentum we achieved in2015. We as a Board are dedicated to offering expanded educational opportunitiesfor CAMs and CAVLs through member-specific seminars and “lunch and learns”,while also continuing to offer great speakers at our semi-monthly lunches. Also, ifyou didn’t make it out to a social last year, don’t miss out on what is sure to beanother great slate of events that we have planned for this year.

CAI membership offers tremendous resources to its members, in addition to avariety of educational and networking opportunities. I would encourage everyoneto utilize these resources and events to get the most out of your membership. If youare interested in contributing to the direction of our chapter, there’s no better wayto do so than to join a committee. You can chose from the following committees:Finance, Membership, Newsletter, Programs, Social, Expo, Education, and Golf. Ifyou have an idea for a new committee, please don’t hold back – we welcome allcomments and suggestions on how to better improve our Chapter and serve ourmembership. If participation in a committee is not feasible, please still feel free toreach out with suggestions on courses, events, and anything else you feel willprovide more value to you as a member. Many of our offerings come fromsuggestions of members, so please always feel free to contact us and let your voicebe heard.

I know that I speak for the Board when I say that we are very excited about what’s tocome in 2016, and I hope to see you at our many great events.

Warmest Regards,Edward Ronsman, Esq.
