FRASER COAST ALL BREEDS – RULES AND REGULATIONS 2016

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Maryborough Active Riders Club Inc. shall not be responsible for loss or damage or injury during the competition.Competitors enter and compete at their own risk.

2.

Approved Safety Helmets MUST be worn when riding, including the Stock Horse Challenge.3. The Committee reserves the right to refuse or withdraw entries without having to assign a reason.4. The Committee reserves the right to alter the schedule with good reason.5.

Stewards reserve the right to evict disorderly or disrespectful competitors from the ring.6. Disrespectful behaviour includes disparaging remarks, public criticism, sarcasm, and threatening behaviour towards

fellow competitors, Judges or Stewards. This behaviour will not be tolerated anywhere at the venue and may result inthe Committee asking the person to leave the venue, with unused nominations withheld.

7.

Competitors are not to approach the Judges at any time during the show, be it directly or indirectly. All communicationis to be made via an Official Steward.

8.

The Judges' decisions are final - NO DISPUTES or PROTESTS will be accepted.9.

Program times are ESTIMATED.

HALTER RULES & REGULATIONS:

All horses MUST BE REGISTERED to enter Led Breed Classes with the exception of the Unregistered Classes.11. Random checks will be carried out during the show – horses not registered or no proof of registration will not be eligible

to compete and/or stripped of ribbons and prize money. (You may be asked as you enter the ring).12.

Competitors do not have to be members of the breed society with the exception of the Australian Stock HorseChallenge (Refer to rules 51,52,53), Australian National Saddle Horse Association (ANSA) and Saddle Pony Association.

13.

ALL horse’s birthdays taken from 1st August.14.

Led “Young Stock” eligible to compete in Led Young Stock Classes ONLY.15. Led Young Stock can be fillies, colts or geldings three years of age and under.16.

Led “Young Stock” and “Geldings” eligible for Champion and Reserve Champion in respective breed.17.

Led Any Other Breed or Unregistered are for horses that (a) have not entered any other class (b) registered with any

other Breed Society ONLY (not saddle society) which is not listed on the program (c) horses with no registration or noproof of registration.

18.

Should Any Other Breed or Unregistered classes incur large numbers the class will be divided.19. Led Heavy Horses include Clydesdales, Percherons, and Shires, which must be registered.20.

Led Baroque includes Andalusian, Lipizzan, Frederikborger, Friesian, Portuguese and Iberian, which must beregistered.

21. Pony Breeds can be any height but must be registered with the relevant breed society.22. Consolation Class – must not have received 1st or 2nd in a halter breed class.23.

Grand Champion Led Young Stock of the Show taken from ALL Young Stock Winners.24. Grand Champion Mare of the Show taken from ALL Mare Winners.25. Grand Champion Gelding of the Show taken from ALL Gelding Winners.26.

Grand Champion Stallion of the Show taken from ALL Stallion Winners.27.

Supreme Champion Led All Breeds Exhibit of the Show taken from the winners of the Grand Champions.

RIDDEN CLASSES RULES & REGULATIONS:

28. Adults may ride ponies in BREED SADDLE CLASSES and SUNDAY HACK PROGRAM.

29.

Stallions are to be handled and ridden by Adults 18 years and over. As per EA rules stallions should wear official ‘discs’at all times whilst at the venue. These discs are to be worn on both sides of head collars and bridles or on some part ofthe horse on both sides to identify to others that the horse is a stallion.

30. Stallions are permitted in Stock Horse Challenge, All Breeds Challenges, Hunter and Hack classes.

31. Competitors and Stallion owners are requested to keep a suitable distance between horses or will be asked to leavethe ring.

32.

In Ridden Breed Classes horses must be registered with relevant breed, colour or saddle society. Proof of registrationmust be carried as random checks will be carried out during the show.

33. DO NOT approach fellow competitors regarding registration, please refer enquiries to Chief Steward.

34.

Colorama under Saddle includes all Registered Coloured Horses.35. A Maiden horse is a horse that has not won f irst place at a Breeds Show, Agricultural Show or higher.

36. A Novice horse is a horse that has not won an open Champion at Breeds Show, Agricultural Show or higher.

37.

Small Pony Hack: 13hh and Under.



38.

Large Pony: 13hh and not exceeding 14hh

39.

Small Galloway: 14hh and not exceeding 14.2hh

40. Large Galloway: 14.2hh and not exceeding 15hh41.

Small Hack over 15hh and not exceeding 16hh42.

Large Hack: over 16hh43. Hunter Hacks are open to any breed of horse.

Hunter Hacks cannot compete in Show Horse classes.45.

Show Horses cannot compete in Hunter Hack classes.46. Judges and/or Chief Steward reserve the right to evict misbehaving or dangerous stallions or horses from the ring.47. All horses must be drug and substance free.48.

Consolation Class – must not have received 1st or 2nd in a ridden breed class.49. Do not hold or sit on horses at Gateway/Entrances into the Rings (THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS).

AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE CHALLENGE RULES & REGULATIONS:

The Australian Stock Horse Challenge is open to Registered Australian Stock Horses ONLY.51. Competitors must be a current financial member of the Australian Stock Horse Society.52.

Proof of Registration and Membership must be sent in at time of nomination. This can be attached as a PDF at timeof online nominations made on nominate.

Australian Stock Horse may compete in ASH Challenge or Open All Breeds Challenge (Not both).54.

Attire Optional – Stock Horse or English Attire is acceptable. Approved safety helmets MUST be worn.55. Entry Fee $15.00 per horse.

STABLING & CAMPING RULES & REGULATIONS:

Stable, facility and camping fees must be paid for via www.nominate.com.au57. Stable fees $7.50 per day + facility fee $7.50 per day58. Camping fees - $18.00 per night59.

There is a $23.00 stable bond payable per stable at time of booking - to be refunded if stable is left clean after use.

ENTRY & INSURANCE:

60. ALL non M.A.R.C Inc. Members need to pay Limited Membership and complete form for Insurance purposes.

Junior Limited membership is available providing there is a parent or guardian present and responsible for the Junior atall times.

62. “Limited Membership” $20.00 covers participation at 3 days of MARC events, which can include the 2 days of the AllBreeds Show depending on previous participation during the 2016 membership period.

63. Non M.A.R.C Inc. Members – Please complete the Limited Membership Form and attach at time of online nominationsor send to [email protected] prior to the 5th October 2016. Nominations will not be accepted without theappropriate membership. All membership forms are on the MARC website www.maryboroughactiveriders.org.au .

ENTRY COST:

64. Entry - $7.00 Per Class OR $60.00 unlimited classes, per horse for duration of the show65.

Additional - $15.00 Australian Stock Horse Challenge and $15.00 for All Breed Challenges66.

67. Nominations only accepted via www.nominate.com.au . Entry by pre-nomination only – Strictly no entries will be

taken on the day.
