Creating life-changing experiences for international students and opening American universities to the world.
ABOUT CUMUSince 1989, the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) has been dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge between universities looking to develop responses to the pressing educational, economic, and social issues of the day. Our members share a passion for collaboration, student access and success, community development and revitalization, and discovery and innovation in teaching, learning, and research. CUMU is the longest-running and largest organization committed to serving and connecting the world’s urban and metropolitan universities and their partners.
The needs of institutions located in urban and metropolitan areas are often different than more traditional colleges and universities. But with different needs come new opportunities, and universities from across the United States and Canada came together to learn, share, and benefit from the advantages of their unique locations.
