2017 SUMMER CAMPS Information Guide

LIL’ PERKIOMY CAMP Monday – Friday

9:00 am – 12:00 noon Site: Eagleville Park – Pavilion Children ages 4 & 5 years old

Lil' Perkiomy Camp is designed for preschool children aged 4 to 5 years old who may have been in a day care or preschool setting throughout the school year. Children will participate in games, arts & crafts, free play time and other activities. "Special Guests" are scheduled throughout the summer. A weekly activity sheet will be emailed to you so you can prepare yourself and your camper for loads of fun each week.

In case of inclement weather, camp moves into the Township Building. Lil' Perkiomy Camp site is managed by a qualified staff of a Site Supervisor along with Camp Counselors. Registration maximum is 15 children for each two week camp session.

Camp Perkiomy is designed for children who have completed Kindergarten through entering 5th grade. Each week is different with a variety of activities including arts and crafts, organized games, off-site trips and special events. The weekly activity and trip sheet will be emailed to you so you can prepare yourself and your camper for loads of fun.

Each Camp Perkiomy site is managed by a qualified staff of Site Supervisor, Group Leaders and Camp Counselors. Registration maximum: 100 – Audubon, 60 – Arrowhead, 65 - Eagleville per seven week program.

Perkiomy Trailblazers Camp is designed for youths who are entering 5th through 8th grades. The weekly activity and trip sheet will be emailed to you so you can prepare yourself and your camper for loads of fun. Each week is different with variety of activities and organized games especially designed for this middle school age group.

Each Perkiomy Trailblazers Camp is managed by a qualified staff, specifically Site Supervisor Group Leader and Camp Counselors. Registration maximum: 50 – Arrowhead and 55 – Eagleville per seven week program.

2017 SUMMER CAMPS Information Guide SIGN ME UP, PLEASE:

1. Summer Camp registration will begin on February 1, 2017 for residents of Lower Providence Township. Non-resident registration begins on March, 1, 2017. Township Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

2. SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION FORMS will be available in the lobby of the Township Building and at www.lptrec.com. 3. Submit summer camp registration form with full payment (cash, check made payable to Lower Providence Township or credit card).

(Registrations completed on-line must print out official summer camp registration form and return it completed and signed before June 1st

) 4. Registration is limited to:

a. 15 participants per camp session for Lil’ Perkiomy Camp b. 100 participants Audubon, 60 participants Arrowhead and 65 participants Eagleville for Camp Perkiomy c. 50 participants Arrowhead and 55 participants Eagleville for Perkiomy Trailblazers

REFUND POLICY:

We know that plans can change, but LPP&R makes commitments to summer staff and entertainment venues based upon registration numbers.

A written refund request before 4:30 pm on May 31, 2017 results in a full refund minus a $60 cancellation fee per child.

No refunds will be processed after June 1, 2017.

LUNCH AND SNACK PROGRAM:

This program is for Camp Perkiomy & Perkiomy Trailblazers Camp only.

It includes lunch and drink every Tuesday (Camp Perkiomy)/Wednesday (Perkiomy Trailblazers) for all 7 weeks.

Lunch options will be pizza one week and Chick-Fil-A the next. See calendar for specific lunch days.

In addition to lunch days it includes afternoon snacks/drinks during the week (excluding field days).

Counselor In Training – C.I.T. Program

The Counselor In Training Program is designed to train youths too old to attend summer camp, but too young for employment with LPP&R – to assist Summer Camp Staff with Lil’ Perkiomy Camp (4 & 5 year old children) and Camp Perkiomy (K – 5

th grade children) activities.

The Counselor In Training position is a seasonal, non-paid, volunteer program. C.I.T. applications will be available February 1, 2017 at www.lptrec.com. Limited space is available in the program. Deadline for application submissions is March 17, 2017.
