“Hogwarts” Magical 4-H Horse Camp Sunday, June 25 ‐ Wednesday, June 28  Warren County Fairgrounds Arrival: Sunday, June 25  2:30 ‐ 4:00 p.m. Departure: Wednesday, June 28, 5:00 p.m. 

Cost:  $130.00 

This camp is limited to 4‐H members currently enrolled in a horse project and who have completed the 3rd grade and not yet entered high school.  All campers are expected to bring and be completely responsible for the care of their horse during camp.   

Horse Camp is geared toward helping beginners gain riding experience and intermediate riders gain confidence by offering classes that sharpen riding skills and horse knowledge.   

Traditional camp activities (campfire, dance & horse show) will be developed around the Harry Potter “Hogwarts” theme. 

 

NOTE: Campers can only bring one horse to camp.  

Artist Day Camp Monday, June 19 ‐ Friday, June 23 9:00 a.m. ‐ 4:00 p.m.  Lebanon Presbyterian Church 

Cost:  $105.00 

Artist Day Camp is a 5‐day camp open to all youth who have completed the 1st grade and not yet entered high school.  (4‐H Membership not required.)  The goal of the camp is encourage and inspire creativity in each camper.  We do that through a wide range of activities, crafts, interactive games, the arts, and much more…  

Campers also have the opportunity to sample a variety of workshops like:  Building Creative structures, Food art,  Mix‐n‐Match Art, Storytelling/Music/Drama, and Creative Dance.  Activities will be built around unique daily themes.     

“Castaway” 4-H County Camp Sunday, July 30 ‐ Thursday, August 3 4‐H Camp Graham, Clarksville Arrival: Sunday, 5:00 ‐ 6:00 pm Departure: Thursday, 5:00 pm       Parents Program begins at 4:00 p.m. 

Cost:  $170.00 – 4‐H Members 

         $180.00 – Non‐4‐H Members         

Looking for a traditional camp experience complete with campfires, songs, skits, adventure hikes, swimming, canoeing on the Little Miami, team challenges, talent show and recreation in an outdoor setting?  County Camp is the place!  Camp activities will be built around this year’s “Island Castaway” theme.  In addition, campers will select a workshop to focus on for part of each day.  Workshops are listed on the registration form. 

An optional canoeing trip on the Little Miami River for campers is offered at an additional fee of $12.00. Alternate activities will be planned at Camp Graham for campers who choose not to participate in the canoe experience.   

County Camp is open to any youth who has completed 3rd grade and not yet entered high school.

Register Now!! All of our summer camp programs fill quickly.  Register early to avoid disappointment.   

Bring a friend to camp!  4‐H membership is not a requirement for Artist Day Camp or 4‐H County Camp   

Confirmation Registrations are processed in the order they are received on/after it opens.  

Warren County 4‐H members can begin registering on May 1.  Non‐members may register beginning May 8.   

Camps will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  

A camp confirmation/information packet will be mailed approximately two weeks before the start of camp to all confirmed campers.  If the camp you request is filled, you will be notified as soon as we receive your registration and offered a spot on the waiting list.  

Deposits & Fees A $25.00 non‐refundable deposit per camp must accompany each registration form.  The full balance and all forms are due to the Extension office on the first day of camp.   

Our Staff Trained counselors plan and execute our fun and educational camp programs.  Counselors have gone through a selection process and have participated in focused training around camper behavior management, risk management, teaching, bullying prevention, and much more.   

There will be many new and exciting activities this year.  The counselors are some of Warren County’s finest older 4‐H members.   

Our trained teen counselors are supervised by 4‐H Youth Development professionals as well as adult volunteers who have a passion for working with youth and the camping program.  A certified health professional is on site for all residential camps.  

Camperships Financial assistance is available to Warren County 4‐H members who qualify for help with camp fees.  Campers are asked to submit a personal letter addressed to the Warren County 4‐H Committee explaining their need and their reasons for wanting to attend camp along with their registration and deposit. 

~ Our Camp Facilities ~

Warren County Fairgrounds The Fairgrounds is the site of the Horse Camp program.  Most camp programs, horse boarding and camper sleeping quarters are all located in the Horse Barns/Arena area.  Meals are catered and served on the grounds.  

Lebanon Presbyterian Church Our gracious host for Artist Day Camp is the Lebanon Presbyterian Church on East Street between Warren and Silver St. in downtown Lebanon.   

Campers will be expected to bring lunch each day.  An afternoon snack is provided. 

4-H Camp Graham  4‐H Camp Graham is a residential camp located near Clarksville, Ohio on the border between Warren and Clinton Counties.  Camp Graham is located on 70 acres of rolling woodland bordered by Todd’s Fork of the Little Miami River.   

Hiking trails, campfire, a pond and fossil‐laden creek surround the central athletic field.  This rustic setting provides a backdrop for the camp’s sports, crafts and swimming facilities.  There are 14 residential cabins in addition to dining and recreation halls.   

4‐H Camp Graham is privately owned by 4‐H members of Clermont, Hamilton, Montgomery & Warren counties, and has a proud heritage and tradition of wholesome, educational and recreational activities.

______ Crafts on Camp Graham Island Come embrace your creative skills with us by making crafts

that will make your time on the island fun and exciting. Your creativity will come alive!

______ Shipwrecked Scientists “Spark” your interest? Discover the world by building and

designing experiments from the world of Science. Some projects will include elephant toothpaste, Legos, building a raft out of popsicle sticks and more!

______ Exploring the Shifting Tides of the Island Land Ho! Find new adventures travelling from workshop to

workshop as you get a sampling of all camp has to offer.

______ Shipwrecked Shooters Come join us in learn some super awesome shooting sports

where you will learn to practice your archery skills and learn the art of paintball target shooting. See how a potato cannon and a marshmallow gun works too!

(Note: Certified Archery Instructor present during workshop)

______ Island of Goop and Sticky Say Aloha to getting messy! Come join us as we have as we

have summer snowball fights and get sticky with slime and much more!

______ Island Drama Come join us and learn some cool acting skills that will have

all the other castaways jealous. Prepare to perform and live it up on stage!
