IfTheMenaiEisteddfod(TME)Officialsrequestsproofofageofacompetitororcompetitorsinagroup,itmustbesuppliedwithintwodays
2) SECTIONS: Solos:SlowTap,FastTap,Jazz,MusicalTheatre,Lyrical,Contemporary,ClassicalBallet,DemiCharacter,Acro-Dance,HipHop,MusicalTheatreVocal,ContemporaryVocal
AllgenreswillbesplitwherepossibleintoSpeciallyRestricted,RestrictedandOpen.Iftherearenotenoughcompetitors,sectionsmaybecombines(atthediscretionofTMEofficials)
Duos/TriosandTroupes:Tap,Jazz,MusicalTheatre,Lyrical,Contemporary,ClassicalBallet,Acro-Dance,HipHop
3) TIMELIMITS: AllSolos,Duos,Trios 3minutesAllVocal 4minutesAllTroupes 5minutes
4) MUSIC: AllMusicmustbeemailedinMP3orM4Afilestothenominatedemailaddressbytheduedate.Thiswillcomeseparatelytoentriesanddetailedinstructionswillbesentoutonceentrieshavebeencollated
StudentsshouldbringacopyoftheirmusiconaUSBasabackup.CD’sWILLNOTBEACCEPTED
Anymusicovertheabovetimelimitswillreceiveanemailbackaskingforittobechanged.Ifanewcopyisnotreceivedoritisstilloverthetimelimit,itwillnotbeputonourplaylistandentryisforfeited
5) VOCALS: NOVOCALSinClassicalBallet,DemiCharacterorSingingSections VOCALSareallowedinJazz,MusicalTheatre,Tap,LyricalContemporary,Acro-DanceandHipHop
6) GROUPS: Groupsmustconsistof4ormorecompetitors SmallGroup=11orlessdancers,LargeGroup=12ormoredancers *Groupsectionswillbecombinedwithifnotenoughentriesforseparatesizesections
7) AMATEURS:ThisEisteddfodisopentoAmateursonly.AProfessionalisdefinedasonewhoearnsamajorpartoftheirincomefromperformance
8) DANCES:Anystudentleavingapreviousstudiocannotperformorusethatstudiosroutinesormusic.Nocompetitorcandancethesameroutineasanothercompetitorinthesamesection.Examdancesmustnotbeperformed

9) PROMPTING:Competitorswillbedisqualifiedifanyoneisfoundpromptingfromthesidestageoraudience.Ifacompetitorwishestostartagain,theymaydosoforareportonlyperformance
10) PROGRAMME:NochangestotheprogrammeexceptwhereitisthefaultoftheCommitteeAllCompetitorsmustdanceinorderoftheprogrammebothinSolosandGroups.Nodancingoutofsection,unlessatthediscretionofTMEOfficials
11) COMPETITORS:Everycarewillbetakenforthecompetitorssafety,howevercompetitorscompetestrictlyinallsectionsattheirownrisk.Noresponsibilitywillbetakenforanyaccident,injuryorlossofproperty,thisincludesallpersonspresentaswellascompetitors
12) INSURANCES: AllPrincipalsofDanceSchoolsmustsubmitacopyoftheircurrentDanceSchoolInsurance
13) APPOINTEDOFFICIALS:AppointedofficialshavefullauthorityduringtheEisteddfod.Anyruleorproceduremaybeamendedatthediscretionofthecommittee
14) ADJUDICATORSDECISION:Adjudicatorsdecisionisfinal,thereistobenocommunicationwiththeAdjudicatorexceptforTMEOfficials.Noprotestswillbeaccepted.IfyouhaveaqueryitcanbeaddressedtoTMEaftertheEisteddfod
15) PROPS: Contestantsareresponsibleforarrangingtheirownpropstobeputonandoffstageandcleaninganymessleftonstageaftertheperformance
Propswithexcessmessshouldnotbeusedorpermissionsoughtpriortotheevent.Propsmustnotbeleftonthepremises–theEisteddfodCommitteetakesnoresponsibilityforlossordamage
Setuptimeforpropsorstagedressingsshouldbelessthan1minute.Ifitexceedsthis,pointsmaybetakenofftheperformanceandtheadjudicatorsdiscretion
16) BACKSTAGE:Parentsarenotallowedbackstageexceptwhenhelpingwithprops.Teachersarepermittedwithyoungeragestudents
17) SIDESTAGE: AllinstructionsgivenbyTMEOfficialsaretobeadheredto.Therewillbenocrowdingatthesidestageorinthewingsofthestage.Pleasewaitattheareaasinstructed.
Ascompetitorsareabouttotakethestagetheywillconfirmtheirnameandstartingposition(onstageoroffstage)withtheSideStageManager.CurtainswillnotbeinuseattheEisteddfod
18) DRESSINGROOMS:DressingroomspacewillbeallocatedbyTMEOfficialsandarenottobealtered.Teachersareresponsibleforcleaninguptheirspaceeachday.Thisrulemustbeadheredto-otherwiseacleaningfeemaybecharged.
19) NOSMOKING:Smokingisnotpermittedinanypartoftheschoolbuildingorgrounds.
20) PHONESANDDEVICES: Mobilephones,pagers,iPadsandotherdevicesaretobeswitchedtosilentatalltimes.Pleaseberespectfulofallperformersonstge.ExcessiveuseofabrightmobilephoneduringperformanceswillresultinbeingaskedtoleavethevenueDevicesmustnotbeusedtophotographorrecordforanyreason.Thiswillresultindisqualification

21) TAPSHOES:Mustnotbeworninthehallunlesscoversorsocksareworn.NOJINGLETAPSareallowed.
22) FOOD&DRINK:Mustnotbetakenintoanydressingrooms,onlybottledwater.FoodandDrinkmaybeconsumedintheseatingareaofthehall
23) AWARDS/TROPHIES:AwardallocationsareatthediscretionofTMEOfficials.AwardswillbeannouncedpriortotheEisteddfodcommencing.AllTroupeperpetualtrophiesremainthepropertyoftheTME.ThePrincipaloftheDanceSchoolisresponsibleforreturningtrophiestoTMEbythedeadlineinordertohavethemengraved.Iftheperpetualtrophiesreturnbrokenorscratchedareplacementfeemaybecharged
24) VIDEO:AnOfficialDVDpersonwillbeavailabletorecordyourdances.NOothercamerasareallowedinthehall.Thisisacopyrightrule.DetailsandinstructionswillbegivenclosertotheEisteddfoddate
