What is gemstone bead knitting?

Gemstone Bead knitting is a kind of knitting in which glass beads or ceramic beads decorate the loops. You can also use natural gemstone beads knitting, but it has a different method.

What are natural gemstones?

A natural gem is a mineral, stone, or organic substance that can be cut and polished or processed in other ways for jewelry or other jewelry. Diamonds, corundum (ruby and sapphire), beryl (emerald and aquamarine), topaz, and opal are generally classified as gems.

For jewelry making, natural gemstones are not used. There are particular gemstone beads for jewelry making, and there are many, but below is a list of the popular ones.

African Jasper Turquoise beads

Agate beads

Amazonite beads

Andalusite beads

Apatite beads

Carnelian beads

Chalcedony beads

Green onyx beads

Grossular Garnet beads

Turkish chalcedony beads

Like gemstone beads are used to make jewelry similarly, precious stone beads are also used, and there are plenty of them, but below is a list of them.

Natural ruby sapphire beads

Blue round faceted precious beads

Precious natural Burmese blue sapphire gemstone

Green party wear emerald button faceted beads

Jewelers always make bead knitting mistakes. Some common errors are:

Common Mistakes

Separate the threads for beading. It doesn’t seem to be a big deal, especially when you are learning to bead, but splitting the thread can cause many problems with beading. If you prefer to use nylon bead thread such as Nymo or Silamide, you should always be aware of broken needles, even when adjusting the thread before sewing.

Use beads of the wrong color (type or size). When I just started learning how to use pearls, it was essential to me and still exists to some extent. It happens to everyone, and sometimes you don’t even notice. Until you finish your bead project, to repair this bead defect, you can always choose to pull out the bead, remove the bead and replace it with the correct one.

Remove the knot from the pearl thread. The nodes on the pearl line are not attractive. The knots on the pearl thread are relatively easy to remove using gel threads such as Fireline or Wildfire, but the use of nylon threads (such as Nymo, Silamide, or SLon) may require some extra effort.

How to properly break a bead. If you find that you need to remove the beads from the beading or crochet work, you can easily break the beads and remove them with pliers. The pliers and wire will not cut everything in the direction the rope breaks. To avoid missing the thread, place the pliers on the bead’s top and bottom outer edges and gently squeeze the pliers together. Do not place the pliers around the center of the beads; crushed pearls may break and become stranded!

Tear point. When we need to tear off a few stitches or rows of beads, most of us know “frog stitch” or “tear, tear.”

Conclusion

These are the basic mistakes that every jewelry expert makes. These errors are unavoidable so, one needs to pay attention before starting.
