The Hair Gym Academy and Salon was founded in 2011 by Daniel Moses. An educator, stylist, and former salon owner Daniel lead a team of ambitious and creative stylists known as The League Of Extraordinary Stylists. Daniel formed this team to reintroduce men’s grooming and barbering to the beauty industry through hands-on education and demonstrations. The team of stylists toured the U.S in 2011 and rapidly became well known and admired. During this time the need for ongoing education in a realistic setting was recognized. Daniel searched for a way to provide education to cosmetologists/barbers for both student and professionals. He founded and decided on a slightly different approach to education. Due to the functionality and profitability Daniel decided to borrow the business model of a traditional physical fitness gym and fuse it with the beauty industry education. This idea was tried and tested for over two years before becoming the business that it is today. Currently, The Hair Gym Academy and Salon is a learning facility that offers education on a membership basis. The business also serves as a salon where stylists/barbers can become employed and work in a team environment. The Hair Gym encourages personal growth, team spirit, and offers a long-term career path. The Hair Gym understands that greatness doesn’t happen by accident but by being intentional. We strive to offer the truth in the beauty industry with education and the development of leaders. It is a pleasure to serve as industry leaders and we look forward to working with students and professionals alike.
5 Day Work-Out Summary
This is a five-day workout regimen that will prepare the cosmetologist and barber for the real expectations of a successful career.Participants will have a learning experience in the basic, advanced, and most popular salon services. We will share the laws, guidelines and techniques for haircutting, coloring, barbering, and extensions in a step by step hands on work out. Additionally, we will provide all the necessary steps needed to reach personal goals as it pertains to conducting business in the beauty industry.As we work through our strength building workouts participants will also be evaluated on their performances. Continued education options will be provided to those that may need additional training. All participants will receive a certificate of completion and a list of promising employment opportunities. With permission we will share all participants who are available for hire on social media and website advertising.All graduating participants will complete this training course with the technical skills, business building skills, professional tools, and a network of industry professionals to guide them through their career path.The Hair Gym Academy and Salon Celebrates all the graduates and looks forward to following their careers.
Day 1 - Hair Cutting
Saturday 10am-4pmHair Cut Description - Long round layer / Triangular graduated bobClass Description - In this group work out we will share the laws and guidelines for basic and advanced hair cutting. We have chosen the most popular and salon friendly hair cuts that are offered in professional environments. All haircuts will be demonstrated and performed hands on and in a timely manner. Once we have completed our morning regimen all participants will train again for salon reality hair cutting and be evaluated in all areas. All necessary tools needed to perform these services will be in the professional tool kit.

Hair Color Description - Foil highlights, surface painting and classic touch upClass Description - In this group work out we will share the laws and guidelines for basic and advanced hair color. We have chosen the most popular and salon friendly hair color techniques that are offered in professional environments. All hair color techniques will be demonstrated and performed hands on and in a timely manner. Once we have completed our morning regimen all participants will train again for salon reality hair color and be evaluated in all areas. All necessary tools needed to perform these services will be in the professional tool kit.

We have chosen the most popular and salon friendly hair extension techniques that are offered in professional environments. All hair extension techniques will be demonstrated and performed hands on and in a timely manner. Once we have completed our morning regimen all participants will train again for salon reality hair extensions and be evaluated in all areas. All necessary tools needed to perform these services will be in the professional tool kit.

Day 4 - Men’s Hair Cutting/Barbering
Sunday 10am-4pmHair Cut Description - Medium length square graduation, tapered, and faded clipper cutClass Description - In this group work out we will share the techniques and guidelines for basic and advanced barbering. We have chosen the most popular and salon friendly barber haircuts and techniques that are offered in professional environments. All haircuts will be demonstrated and performed hands on and in a timely manner. We will utilize scissors and clippers for our hair cutting services. Once we have completed our morning regimen all participants will train again for salon reality barbering haircuts and be evaluated in all areas. All necessary tools needed to perform these services will be in the professional tool kit.

Subject Description - Employee opportunities vs. Independent contractor, wages, job descriptions, adver-tising, continued education, and professional appearance.Class Description - In this group work out we will share the guidelines for a successful career path based upon personal learning and earning type. We will share information on starting your career path in the industry and address all industry related myths that may mislead us from reaching our target goal. We will share ideas on how to present our own personal style in a professional manner when it comes to our total overall appearance with a focus on make-up and hair. We will share advertising ideas and spend time advertising to real potential salon guests in the local area. We will review our evaluation forms from our class training experience.

By taking the extra steps towards reaching your goals your future career has become positively impacted. Understanding that when setting goals in life hard work and discipline is necessary and knowing through continued education all things become possible. Remaining Hungry, Humble, and Smart throughout one’s career will be an attitude that we can all continuously strive towards. The Hair Gym Academy and Salon acknowledges the great honor in assisting and preparing you for a new chapter in life.
