Deceased Members

• It is very important to let National know about a deceased member as soon as possible –

• Why: To stop withholdings, newspapers, magazines, and for the Memorial Service list

• It is most important to keep a monthly record on decease members and to forward to the Federation Secretary two months before the Federation Convention.

– If you have a deceased member after March , let National know and the Federation Secretary so the member will be added to the list for the Memorial Service that is given at the Federation Convention.

– This is an important part of being secretary– At the end of our year each secretary will need to

balance the names with the Federation Secretary’s list to make sure they are in agreement for Memorial Service at the Federation Convention

Use of the M-112

• After the 8th of each month go to your M-112 report and check for deceased members

• Start your record folder or notebook on deceased members – this can be in year order

• If you have a member on the deceased list that comes from National that is not deceased please let National and the Federation Secretary know immediately

Use of the Federation Website

• An alternative to using the National Website’s M-112 you may use the Federation Website to review a full years worth of data from National’s M-112

• Click on “Deceased Members List” and the work is done for you – see next slide

Use of F-7• The F-7 is used to report your

new officers for the new fiscal year of your chapter

• Go to your work area on the NC NARFE web site and use your F-7 form to report your new officers

• You will need the full name of the officer along with his/her ID number to fill out the F-7 form.

• If it is the same officer for an office, you will need to go to the next officer (new) and enter

• Once you have entered your new slate of officers for that new year, just click on the summit. It will go to Charlie Pratt and the Federation Secretary

• Charlie will forward it to National since they have to enter the information from the F-7

Use of the F-42

• The F-42 is very important for the delegates and alternates that are going to the Federation Convention

• This needs to be filled out as soon as your chapter has selected their delegates and alternates

• You will need to have your full officer’s name and his/her ID number.

• Once you have gone on the NC NARFE web site and entered the information that is needed for the F-42, just click the summit

• Once Charlie Pratt has received the information he will enter it into the system so the proper information will be there for the credential chair
